lol you are twisting yourself to protect Verge and conveniently left out the important part of the USA Today piece. Yes they made the request of records but we did not comply. We said “Verge checked them and found no messages”. That’s not a records compliance.

IF they did that they could have said without divulging any info specific to the case that Verge fully a complied with Title IX in every case. That’s not a privacy nor Title IX violation to state we followed procedure properly.

Good luck with trying to twist it. I’m not trying to bury him here but the text deal Davis clearly says hit her, whether she hit first is irrelevant. It’s not like he was in fear or self defense. He hit her. And said so in a text to an Asst AD.

Without divulging any privacy info you can certainly say Verge followed protocol if he did.

You are either a relative or looking for a fig leaf. There isn’t one. If there were LSU would have said we followed protocol and would not have answered the text question the way they did.

USA TODAY requested copies of all text messages sent and received by Ausberry over a weeklong period at that time. LSU policies require employees to retain records of all correspondence for at least five years, but the university said Ausberry checked his phone and found no messages.

I doubt this unless they find something damning involving him.

Would keeping him at OSU be enough punishment?

Every other coach who’s had this type of thing happen at their program has been fired. If Orgeron is retained there will be a media shitstorm forever against LSU and they will find something to hang him and us with. They will bring up his past, spousal and substance abuse, they’ll connect it to the treatment of women and opposing coaches will pillage recruits. LSU needs to cut bait like everyone else does before more stuff comes out.

Scott is probably smart enough to realize that the mews media cycle if given time forgets most stories. We should circle the wagons and hold strong. No way should we allow accusations from a gender confused journalist cause us to fire Ed O. The only public pressure that truly matters is the boosters with money.

Now Ed shitting the bed this year has put him in danger. If we were rolling along right now we aren’t even questioning getting rid of him.

None of that will happen and nobody will care a few weeks from now, especially the national media

Baylor, on the other hand, was everywhere. Penn State was everywhere.

It feels like even here, that Baylor & Penn St were bigger stories.

Heads have to roll. It’s part of the deal

Orgeron is certainly in the picture of heads that might have to roll. Sorry but it’s possible that he knew stuff and did nothing.

LSU needs a President and they better get one that makes a splash; Not some good ole boy . It needs to be relevant

LSU will be fine though. This will pass. Many of the leaders are already gone.

Not true- this is a contradiction
He is THE leadership

I don't think that's a really good source of information. Has anyone else said that?

It is a absolutely insane for us to make changes based on some journalist crying. These people can’t pay their own bills they damn sure aren’t paying LSUs.

The only way Ed O is gone is if the biggest boosters believe he is a gene chizik and we can dump him with cause.

There are a few issues with that though as he currently has a stacked class so letting him go now before an investigation is done is counter productive. We could do it after early signing day. Also using this to jettison O forces us into a position of having to hire someone that isn’t a boat rocker and has no baggage. That crippled a lot of great coaches.

But the majority of students at LSU are from Louisiana and it is everywhere here. The school isn't shutting down but it's going to make a lot of people think twice about sending their kids, especially girls, there. I know I will watch them as years go on to see if any changes are made. It's beyond football too for me. Seeing how they mishandled cases involving every day students should be concerning for everyone.

For everyone who says LSU will come out OK, I would ask you to look at Baylor.

If you voted for Biden you brought back the Title IX inquisition that was started under Obama. I hope they take your sons first.

You are dreaming. What happens will be based on what can be proven. Good luck finding any evidence of what you’re saying that will hold up on court. That’s what it would take, because Orgeron would sue for full salary plus damages if fired for cause. The evidence against him would have to be ironclad.

If Joseph is confirmed having been a part of the Davis situation before it was reported under Title IX, then he’s toast no matter what. Just doing your job didn’t work for the Nazis or anyone since. He doesn’t deserve a pass no matter who told him to do what.

I predict that 56.4% of all predictions are made up.
