Impossible to answer, but lsu has landed an abnormal amount of kids from the Midwest & west coast that usually does not get looks from lsu

Do you really need a fricking car allowance when you’re making over 600k a year?
Posted on 10/11/22 at 1:25 pm to dandan
Salary should be reduced every time a poor play occurs, so he’d probably owe the school money at the moment.

Meh. It’s not hard to recruit at LSU if you get off your arse and work a little bit. There are plenty of people who could be recruiting coordinator and do just fine.
Bring me someone who can coach on the field and recruit.

Polian is a curious case for me. No question his units have been awful this season but he supposedly had some solid special teams in his previous stops. I don't get it.

In his time coordinating special teams, the Irish units have been some of the best in the country. Punt coverage and kick-off coverage were both ranked in the top-20 nationally in 2019 and 2020. In 2019 and 2020, the Irish blocked four punts and returned two of them for touchdowns. Following the 2019 season, Pro Football Focus ranked the Notre Dame special teams as the No. 3 unit in the country.
that means its prob not just him... yes, he is responsible, but let's not crucify the man his first year. he has earned his keep as the RC...

$800 per month to make car payment
This might have looked pretty nice a couple years ago, now it's an average car payment almost

As part of their deals, Polian and Flint will both receive courtesy vehicles or $800 per month to make car payments.
Absurdity highlight!
Dude makes $52,000 per month yet there is a call out for 1% more to cover car note. How about save payroll a step and just throw that chit in to overall salary?
Besides your point...carry on.

This guy must have all the nudes of every power player in CFB. No way after the stripper gf-monkey business is this guy’s name resurfacing as the highest paid ST coach in the country

LSU has always played their best players on special teams, even when they were all-americans and heisman finalists.
Devin White, Boutte, Mathieu, Peterson, Claiborne - the list goes on.
I assumed most places did this. You want your best guys out there as much as possible

When that story hit, I was sure that dude was going to be fired within the week. The fact he (and Pole Assassin) withstood the 15 seconds of media infamy onslaught just goes to show you, don't cave to the masses and you will be fine. Even if you leave your wife and three kids and move in with Pole Assassin (your sex working side piece) and her child biting emotional support monkey.

Steeples is from St Louis. Started a youth program there too. He was the coach at Markway's HS.
Cain was a DE coach at MO St, but that was back in 2006-08.
He was a DL coach at NDSU from 2014-16 and I would bet he got a lot of Mid West exposure while recruiting for OU.

Forgot about Steeples coaching the TE
Even so the Midwest commits is unprecedented for as long as I’ve followed recruiting

Idk but this whole brian polian portalGod shite needs to stop.
They missed on more than a few guys they went after. One of those players is jared verse.
They also grabbed daniels over someone like cam ward.
I think he did a decent job in the portal but it is getting way overblown.

The portal was more about replenishing numbers with scholarship players than it was hitting home runs with top players.
The job the did with the time they had was more than just “decent”

Special teams is for the most part dependent on the middle to bottom half of the roster. LSU’s roster in those slots is not good.

Did I miss something...Polian was the one that muffed two punts vs FSU and he muffed the opening kick Saturday. I thought that was two of our most sure handed and better players. I hate watching the games with no volume cause I'm at work.
