I'm all in favor of it.

If I was on CBK's staff, I'd definitely be interested in WRs Bonds and Law, any of their TEs, OLs Booker, Brockermeyer and the Betrand kid that transferred from A&M.
On defense, I'd start with Malachi Moore and Caleb Downs.

It's going to be interesting to see how many -- if any -- of their guys use the 30-day portal window.

Our TE room is stacked, so pass.

Tommy Brockermeyer, the OT, transferred out last portal season. James, the back-up center/special teams player, is still at BAMA. Have you taken a look at our OL room? Loaded. So pass here.

Malachi Moore announced he would be returning for his last season a couple of days ago, he very well may revisit this decision and declare for the draft.

Downs has been in rumored contact with Ohio State since the retirement announcement.

Plus Downs and Moore are both Safeties. CB is more a position of need.

Ok. You’re in favor of it? I’ll text BK to let him know.

I thought SEC to SEC transfers weren't allowed at this juncture?

Unless recently changed, the SEC rule is in the portal by February 1st for in conference transfer eligibility to participate next season.

Trey Amos
Desmond Ricks
Kendrick Law

Go get those 3. LSU finished in the top 2 for all 3 of them in their most recent recruitments. Ricks and Law out of HS and Amos visited last year and picked Bama over us out of the portal. Would be your 2 starting CBs next year plus Law a dynamic weapon on offense at WR or RB and in the return game.

Yes, players allowed transfer to SEC if coaching change.

What are you daydreaming/scribbling about w/o any rational thought amigo?

more than anything you noted--WE NEED HOSSES FOR AN SEC CALIBER STARTING DEFENSIVE LINE

LSU has plenty of WRs and TEs and our OL is excellent - more WRs coming in means more of our WRs hit the portal and in a way defies CBK's "development of HS players we recruited" mantra

if CBK/Hankton decide to pull in a legit WR starter with 2+ years left they'd have to accept some serious fallout from the WR room / don't think they'd walk that plank but who knows?

Caleb Downs is trending to Ohio State but hasn't signed yet so yeah a skilled experienced SEC-level CB would be Xmas in January

It's been confirmed that the Bama window allows SEC to sec. What hasn't is the active roster and 85 rule clarification. If that hasn't been amended, space is our problem. Can't cut anymore until after spring. So no space means it doesn't matter where they come from, we wouldn't be able to take them.

Do you really think many Bama players will transfer though? When Bama fills their spot it will be a good coach from a good team and the biggest opportunities for LSU will start there. As this progresses good players from average teams will start to become available. That’s where Kelly will be looking.

15 of our recent signees/commitments will not be on campus for the spring, therefore they will not be on scholarship. Should easily be under the 85 for spring ball. So there is space to take transfers, albeit additional transfers and signees will be limited in numbers. The key is getting down to 85 by the start of fall camp.

If Kelly would really want a defensive Bama player I would make them. crawl to Baton Rouge.I'm sure they were recruited by LSU out of high school so...Frick Em'!

I’m pretty sure the 85 limit is just by the start of fall camp. We won’t hit that anyway unless you are already counting incoming freshmen, so there’s time to make decisions for the end of Spring and the 2nd portal window.
