I’m trying to be patient with this team but it’s getting harder with each passing game. Our pitching is adequate now and I think it will improve but we have zero offense. Even when we get on base we run ourselves out of games, a PM trademark. And I’m pretty sure T-Bob could steal on either Mathis or Garza.

I hear Kentucky is going to make a play for Paul Mainieri at season’s end. Ole Joe better give Paul a raise and an extension for life.

The only one right now on the entire team that seems to get it....

quote:

“You’ve just got to go out there and compete at a higher level,” Reid said. “Not every night are you going to come out here and go 4-for-4 or even get a hit, but you’ve got to compete, compete, compete every time you get a chance. You’ve got to care.”

The senior continued: “We’re wearing LSU or Tigers on our chest. That means something, not just to the guys on the team, but to people around the state and city and country. And it hurts when we go out there and play like that.”

Glad someone caught my sarcasm based on the other thread. Doesn't look like too many did.

How about FIXING THE DAMN PROBLEM? Who gives a shitt if His Royal Highness admits he is a jackoff? It is his damn job to get this team ready to play but he continually fails to do so. I am tired of his fuking excuses.

If things don't drastically change, 2020 will be his last year.

The most important thing to Paul is being home for supper every night. His pay check is on time and supper is never cold cuz he is always home early. We are good to go.

That’s a great quote by Reid

Complacency has no place in sports or the work place. You have to build good habits and consistently build on them every day to be successful.

It seems as of this moment this team ate up ALL the hype of being number 1 and thinking they were hot shite. You can bet your arse every single mid week game and weekend series the opposing team is going to bring it every outing because of the uniform we wear. There is no doubting or disputing that.

Hopefully the mental preparation happens now. The West and SEC as a whole has transformed the last 5 yrs. no more slouches and easy games.

When your coach DGAF, how can you expect the players to? I swear, he’s showing less fire and passion than Smoke did

Seeing Georgia lose 11-2 to GA Tech made me feel a little better .. i never worry much about mid week games but that's because we usually take care of business during the weekends. Starting to miss the power hitting days of LSU baseball.

It's not what he said, it's what he needs to do. Quit fricking saying it and do something, like hire some real fricking coaches, not former players who were minor league rejects.
