I liked it for the intro but really wore out on every touchdown

This. I thought pregame it was pretty cool and did a good job of getting the fans hyped. But after every touchdown it was stupid. It was like a kid blowing his new air horn every chance he gets. A little moderation goes a long way.

a Saturday night in Death Valley is as authentic as it gets. This LED light show BS just shows they don’t have what we have and need to bring in some artificial noise and entertainment.

We should still get LED lights, light show or not. Would be nice to be able to turn them off without a restart period

This. Plus it brightens the field for TV

You can tell who the old people are in here. LED's will be put in and it will be amazing.

I don’t want LED lights in Tiger Stadium for safety reasons. They use the strobe effect heavily during the halftime break. What if it disorients me as I’m walking down the stairs to leave the game and I fall?

Things change; bring it, I guess. Although last night’s Tennessee game with the strobes and grainy footage of an ambulance in the parking area of the stadium gave the game a WWE feel.

Recruits love that "fad."
As proven by this years offense, the only evolution needs to be on each side of the ball, not the lights in the stadium....

Should be interesting to see how they handle it once people start having seizures.

Exactly! LEDs are a recent FAD. Just like those newfangled telephone thingys youngsters carry around in their pockets to make themselves look cool.

Wonder how they did those Purple and Gold lights in Tiger Stadium?

The lights aren’t the problem. It’s how they were used.

Purple would look so much better as part of a pregame. During the game. Meh.

It's not going away...only progressing like streaming music is the new fad over 8 track tapes, cassette tapes and CD's. Just need to learn how to use to our advantage to IMPROVE the experience and not UNDERMINE it at TS.

I predict that one day in the not-so distant future, there will be instant-replay projection on the field during TV timeouts.

It will be glorious, profitable (ad-space), and mostly popular, and there will be lots of people who bitch about it. Because that’s what people like to do, bitch about things that are entirely out of their control.

And no, the irony of my bitching about bitching is not lost on me.

It's not made for TV, for starters. Hard to judge how it looks in that format.

I think they can change the colors inside the stadium now. I’ve seen pictures in purple before and blue in honor of police.

Nah, they use the scoreboard to make it look that way. Blue or purple on the boards, no actual stadium lights, and the stadium will look blue or purple.

LED lights would be good without the strobing effects. Maybe just light up the field in purple pregame and at start of 4th qtr. No need for "light shows" though.
