These players know that the guy in front of them is gone, so it is time to negotiate a new deal. This is the problem with not having contracts. It is essentially price-gouging every off season.

Hate it though. Was a guy that just needed some extra years to develop into an all around TE. We just don’t get these guys to stick around anymore.

Means BK already has some guys coming in from the portal. Guy couldn’t block. Trey’dez passed him. Not a huge loss but definitely not ideal but there are a couple good portal options.

Yes you did. Coach at Marshall took the job at Southern Miss, bringing his players with him.
Cignetti did close to the same thing at Indiana - 13 players on Indiana team were with Cignetti at JMU last year.
I don’t think the portal was intended to be like this?
