Thank you for giving the story.

If that’s true then I wish him well but it’s a very short sighted decision.

Now the new staff comes in they pick up transfer in his position and they tell him . We have no reps for you at Nickel we moving you to cornerback. A position he has never played at the bottom of depth chart still with no fair opportunity to earn a scholarship to pay for school next year. So what you want him to do there is no option for him and no opportunity to earn anything.
I hate it for the kid I really do. But this new staff owes him absolutely nothing.
Myles Brennan was talked back out of the transfer portal by this new staff and they took a transfer at his position.
These coaches and this game owes nothing to anybody. Either compete or leave.

Did anyone watch his performance in the bowl game? He's not just any walk-on. He made some pretty impressive plays
ETA: I'm going to lose my shite if this kid transfers and plays at a high level

He's a Freshman All- American, Jerry Rice Award Finalists. He better than than some of them 4 and 5 star players they got. That man walked way from a full scholarship to pursuit a dream as walk on cause he was lied to that he would get a scholarship when one became available. He a 5 star in my book.
Hell by this logic, let's go sign a bunch of All-Americans from NAIA schools. We'll show Alabama who's boss for sure....

You right in one aspect. But when you believe in yourself and you have dreams you take a chance. But when you learn the whole story you can make a judgment and when fair opportunity is not given to work for something there is no option.

Thank you man.
It really sounds like he got stuck in between a coaching change and things went bad for him. It’s unfortunate, but I appreciate his contribution and wish him the best. I hope I see his name again.

Pig has always work for everything he's got. He doesn't want nothing given to him he wants to earn it.

He was not paying 45k to go to LSU as an in-state student. And hate to hear what happened to his parents’ business but that’s not LSU’s fault. He wouldn’t be the first walk-on (or student) to take out a student loan either.

Yes he made 3 good plays. His coverage wasn’t great. He is a lber in a db body.

Tory Carter was a walk-on FB on a team that didn’t use a fullback. You know what he did? He busted his arse on special teams and found his way to an NFL roster. JD Moore cane to LSU as a walk-on too. He, too, found his way to the NFL. Pig Cage is 19-20 years old. Everything may not happen how he wanted them to in his head but that doesn’t mean it’s over either. But quitting when things don’t go your way does make it over.

Wasn’t there a tread yesterday saying he was the most underrated player on the team??

Tory Carter wasn’t a walk on
But it’s a lot easier to make it as a walk on FB than it is DB

Pretty sure Tory Carter was always on scholarship.

Not when your tuition bill will be due in May again and you can't afford it.

So what’s he going to do? Go back to Nicholls? He can’t get a student loan? I went to college with plenty of kids who had no financial help whatsoever and made it work.

Feel bad for the kid but they bulked up the safety spot in the portal. Pretty sure Gardner will play safety too on top of the freshmen they brought in last year.
Cage was a desperation take by the last staff
