I'm thinking the program wants the money.

I believe the berm you are talking about in right field would be ready in 2 years

Ah, thanks. For awhile I wasn't sure if it was just a rumor or legit. That'll be a nice touch, and a good overflow area for regionals, super regionals, etc. Good choice.

I say we name it "Skip Bertman" instead of "Alex Box"

The stadium was named for Simeon Alex Box, an LSU letterman (1938) who was killed in North Africa during World War II.

Good reason to remember and leave as it...

Maybe you should read up on just who Alex Box was, and then maybe you'll change yoru mind.

Great view if you are sitting in the stands. Don't know if I want Tiger Stadium in the background if I'm in the batter's box trying to pick up the rotation of the ball though. I assume they will put up a hitter's backround and that will block the view of TS.

if only they could get the grass in tiger stadium that pretty

Hopefully they keep it up. They would let the old box go to crap throughout the season. I bet the players are happy to have it. The old box had a huge drop from the field to foul territory. Its good to see they are finally going to have a good playing surface.

It's all in the ball that was sealed up at the end of last season... And it's obviously gonna be carried over to the new box and unleashed for opening day, DUHHHHH!!!

Maybe they could get a cool graphic or banner to put up on the Indoor on the side facing the New Box. Think that would be cool and take away from the old manilla building in the distance.

That's right where the scoreboard is gonna be, so they might not even need it.

That's an awesome view of Tiger Stadium from behind the plate. That's about where my seat will be, too.

As far as one day renaming it for Skip: we could name the field for Skip and leave the stadium named Alex Box.

Thanx, 18.

The infield should be a great homefield advantage with the mounds of dirt!
Can't wait!
