here are some pics I took the other day from inside of the new Alex Box...the center field view is incredible

from behind home plate

behind home plate again

first base line

grandstand

I cannot wait to see the team take the field in here...as sad as it is to see the old Alex Box go, this new stadium is going to be great for fans, the team, and recruiting.

enjoy

Really, once they get the chairbacks behind home plate done, the outfield fence in, and the scoreboard in they are playable.

Alot of the finishing work in the suites/pressbox and landscaping stuff can be done during the season. I think they'll be fine to start the season there.

I love the view behind the outfield!

All of Tiger stadium looks awesome! Better than the close up view of the west upper-deck in the old Box.

Anyone know what they're doing with the outfield fence?

I know i meant is it going to be similar to what we had at the old box or any significant changes? Still have the scoreboard out in RF and the somewhat elevated wall in center?

I'm not sure. I want to say they are going to put the scoreboard in left to mimic Rosenblatt, but don't quote me on that.

I hope they don't put ads all along the outfield fence like at the old Box.

All of the models showed the scoreboard in left field. Not sure about the exact size of the centerfield wall, but I'm sure there is some sort of NCAA mandate on having a batter's eye.

If I remember correctly I think Phase 2 of the construction includes a levee in right field for general admission seating. Not sure how far off that project is though, but that would be a nice addition.

No one will ever say "We're going out to the Bertman". Leave it as is. Maybe they should rename the street in front of old Box "S. Stadium Dr." again and rename Gourrier Drive for Skip.
