People are walking MILES around the forest to go look at the trees. It's right there slapping them in the face and they are babbling formulaic crap about our defensive line vs Clemson's . Check back in with Pete next Monday night. He will have sudden Joe Burrow 50 billionmillion yards and touchdown clarity.

Said that LSU’s D line is not comparable to Ohio State

objectively speaking, he’s right.

our entire D-line rotation combined doesn’t have as many sacks combined this year as Ohio State’s 2nd best D-Lineman. They have 5 guys in their D-Line rotation with as many sacks as our leading D-Lineman.

you know it’s entirely possible to give a position group from another school credit as being better than us without it being a slight?

Why do they look past the arguments that our D hasn't played motivated because we're always up by a ton? Or the fact that we give up a lot of passing yards because teams are always trying to catch up?

same could be said for Clemson and tOSU.

it’s like this fanbase searches for something to bitch about.

The job of the media is not to be accurate. It is to generate interest in their programs so that ratings will be high. How much interest nationwide (non-fans) would they be generating if they say LSU is a sure winner?

This is sneaky funny. The Purple and Gold wearing fan saying the commentators aren't objective.

Ohio State does have a better D-Line than we do.

Doesn’t mean ours sucks.
It just mean their is better.

It’s the only position group i give them the edge over us with though.

Also, you give our D the excuse of always being ahead by a ton and teams playing catch-up.
The exact same thing can be said about the two defenses you specifically mentioned.

It’s easy to get sacks when you’re playing the Walmart night crew in most of your games. Those stats are not the only indicator of the D line. Plus we’ve been hurt a lot and had to shuffle K’lavon and others around .

Let me simplify it. Shelvin and Chaisson are hands down better than any front 7 players tOSU had this season.

Wait. What? Ohio State had a DE at the Heisman ceremony. I'm all about some homer statements but this might be the most homerish thing I've ever seen.

that’s why we racked them up against Northwestern State, Vandy, Utah State?

they have a guy that will be top 5 pick in the NFL draft.

i guess none of those NFL guys are looking at this objectively and are biased as hell to create TV ratings?

they lead the country in Tackles for Loss too.

it’s OK for another team to be good at something.
doesn’t mean we suck.
hell doesn’t even mean we aren’t good at the same thing.

I think THEY'RE likely being objective. Regardless of the reason, our defense has been much closer to good than great.

I doubt LSU will be a prohibitive favorite. Clemson has a very good team.

That was the opinion in 2007 as well.
They were the No. 1 defense in the nation.

You're making excuses for LSU when then same applies to Clemson and Ohio State. LSU wasn't the only team blowing opponents out.
