Said that LSU’s D line is not comparable to Ohio State. That our D is just "ok" That Clemson has a top 3 Offense and Defense. How are these "professionals" so inept at seeing things objectively? Why do they look past the arguments that our D hasn't played motivated because we're always up by a ton? Or the fact that we give up a lot of passing yards because teams are always trying to catch up? Or that we've played way more tough teams than OU and Clemson combined? Or that Clemson is mostly untested and they squeaked by the only real team they've played? I think our D is better than everyone thinks, they have played lights out when they needed to. I can't wait till the 14th so we can hear them all crawfish out of the argument that our D isn't that good.

Well I heard a Clemson fan argue their secondary was better. So nothing surprises me from any of these morons.

They think they have to create excitement for the game. I'm sure there is as much grandstanding as there is actual analysis.

Let the world underestimate LSU. That’s fine.

I don't know if we're the best, but I like our d and feel very comfortable with them. Don't have to worry about getting run over up the middle. There's no way there's a noteworthy difference on defense between OSU, clemson and LSU.

Half of these professional clowns have never watched LSU play this year except maybe the OU game.

LSU just shut down the 2nd best offense in the country holding them to 220 yards under their season average...

so did OU play bad, or did LSU play really well...

view to decide

but we have studs on the DL, anyone who says we don't hasn't watched LSU upclose.

haven't you heard? We shouldn't even show up to the game.

Clemson is too good, they're too talented, and we should all feel sorry for them because they've won exactly ONE real game this season and they are the underdog in this game.

I'm sick and tired of the media bias for Clemson. I know these guys need to have something to talk about and generate viewership, but my God!

I want 1/13 to show up so we can shut these orange assholes up and put the asswhoopin' on them that they deserve.

Because they look at stats and draw conclusions from there.

You know stats tell us that Hurts is a better QB than Lawrence because Hurts has a better completion percentage. But anyone with any semblance of football knowledge knows Lawrence will have long career in the NFL (baring injury) and Hurts will just sniff the practice quad for a couple of years. That how stats can be misleading.

LSU's DL isn't comprable to OSU and they are just "ok", even compared to past LSU DL's. They stuff the run pretty well, but rarely generate a pass rush man on man. The good news though is that the light for Chassion may finally be coming on as he has been better as a pass rusher late in the season and was EVERYWHERE vs. OU.

This defense is better than "ok", but not one of LSU's best units over the last 10 years. Lack of a pass rush in base personnel; ILB's are inconsistent; Guys like Stevens and Vincent can be liability in man to man situations. That said, I think there is certainly enough talent to match Clemson's defense and Aranda didn't simply forget how to coach this season.

I think just like Bama, Clemson is going to make some plays because they have a great QB, great WR's (less quick but more physical than Bama's) and a good RB. But I don't think Clemson is going to be able to do whatever they want vs. LSU's D all game long. I don't care what the rankings say, this defense still has too much individual talent to get completely wiped out.

The one concern is that unlike Bama's WR's, who are largely on the smaller side, but more explosive in space, Clemson's WR's are big. That can mitigate some of LSU's advantage at DB and you are going to see both QB's throw several 50/50 balls believing their guy has the advantage.

Let me simplify it. Shelvin and Chaisson are hands down better than any front 7 players tOSU had this season. As a whole, our D is comparable to tOSU's. Another factor that will impact the game is that our defense is peaking right now and healthier than it has been all season. Yes, Clemson will score some points on us, but I do not think they will be able to keep up with our offense. Geaux Tigers!
