Perspective for us fans (Boutte related)

This isn't high school or DI-AA. MOST kids selfishly go to their power 5 school of choice to leverage their NFL chances or to play early. And it's a tough balance to also be selfless/good teammate.
A lot of these kids come from poverty & broken homes. Not that they are terrible people or hate LSU, but if a kid can change his family dynamics through a NIL deal or leverage his NFL chances by transferring (Burrow), he'd be stupid not to take advantage. Anyone who argues that is either stupid or has been silver spooned their entire life. Kids (Boutte) will only do what they are allowed to get away with from adults (Orgeron). Kelly might be the best thing to ever happen to Boutte.
Stop taking everything so personal. Some of yall was crazy mad with Chase opting out, but time has proven he made the right choice. I am pulling for Boutte as a person & player.

This bleeding heart shite again...
These kids have more money than you do.

Boutte hasn’t done anything to warrant a thread like this. He’s engaged with the team while injured. What else does he need to do?
I know you’re saying leave him alone but I don’t think anybody is really complaining about him lately

No it hasn't. Him sitting out didn't prove anything either way. He easily would have been the number 1 receiver on the 2020 team. Maybe he gets hurt. Maybe he catches for 2000 yards and wins the Heisman instead of the scrawny kid from Amite.

Like I’m gonna listen to some random guy on the internet.

Is something happening with Boutte? Is he transferring?
Posted on 5/12/22 at 11:23 am to wadewilson
"Maybe" -- he eliminates the unknown by making the decision not to play & got paid. Exactly what he wanted to do.

Thats so dumb. It hasn't proven or disproven anything.

dont bring logic around here. these fans are immune to it

#5 pick, guaranteed money, offensive rookie of the year, and leaving the toxic Ed O environment vs. staying? hmmm
Stingley made the right move too, but yall not ready for that conversation.

That's still not a given. Usually when a player slacks off in his last year before drafting, that hurts them.

A) For the entire quoted part - WTF?
B) For the bolded part. You unequivocally cannot say he made the right choice, as he may have been equally successful even after playing that last year at LSU.
C) You suck.

So these future outcomes were all known to Chase when he quit the team?

IDGAF. I want what’s best for LSU, 100% of the time

In terms of forgoing his senior year? Of course
In terms of his soft opt out? Why would you ever expect the fans to applaud a guy quitting on the team in the middle of the year just because things aren’t going the way we all wanted them to?
Why do you think Devin White is a beloved Tiger while Greedy Williams is an afterthought?
Why do people insist on telling fans how to feel about the effort and commitment (or lack thereoff) players give their team? We’re allowed to have our own opinions and express them however we want to.
