You realize most teams play 2-3 rbs during a game, right? Your top back can do it all with equal effectiveness. So If OU prepares for Clyde, they won't lose much in terms of preparation.

I have no idea why people keep saying this. This matchup has been set for over 2 weeks now. I guarantee their analysts have already watched every snap of our offense - whether Clyde is on the field or not. It isn't like this is a normal regular season game where they only had a few days to prepare for it.
This isn't keeping anyone "off-balance". I'm sure OU has packages for each back and each personnel grouping already set. This changes nothing.

They will prep for the lsu offense with Clyde. If he doesnt play, so be it. Their prep if they 100% knew Clyde was out would be no different

It’s a playoff game, not week 2 vs a directional school. You don’t sit as a precaution. If he’s out, it’s because he can’t go.
