Makes sense to me why he's been not throwing to open receivers well so far. It may be a "I know this is going to hurt" decision if I throw this ball.

Even if he suits up, I would at least split reps and limit throwing this week at practice. MVB needs to play most of the game vs Southeastern. Plus that would give the added wrinkle of Ole Miss having to prepare for 2 different style of QBs.

Sit him this weekend?

I guess it comes down to what would be more beneficial;
Giving his oblique as much rest as possible before Ole Miss, or using the SLU game as practice to try to get the offense in some kind of rhythm.

Nuss dealing with a torso injury.

Somebody asked the question about Nuss injury rumors on the Scoreboard Sat night. I shared my story that some random dude I sat next to that lived in Austin, TX told me Nuss had an abdominal tear. Strictly rumor that had no backup but I wondered where in the hell he heard that.

I saw it during warmups before La Tech game. I mentioned how much time he was spending warming up and how all of his passes were high. And some numb nuts on here said I was stupid for mentioning that.

I hope they are mentioning now because they have a plan but more likely the hidden injury was getting outed.

Explains a lot. BK needed to take some heat off the offensive woes, and was holding this card back. If we’d scored 30 points, we still wouldn’t know, but even a casual observer could see he wasn’t right. This explains him throwing off his back foot and not rifling the ball.

Explains a lot!! It would be a great week to experiment with our run game against Southeastern. How about some Wildcat???

I thought they were managing his work load? Or was that just for his arm.

No, it doesn’t unless he’s had this injury for 2 years.

If Van Buren can't easily win you the game vs SLU, then he isn't a worthy SEC backup.

Nuss should have sat out of practice this week and sat out the game

Makes total sense. He’s not running fluid. His throws don’t have their normal zip.

We play SELU this week. Rest his arse now!

If we can't beat SELU with any other QB on the roster, then we aren't as good as we thought.

So who wants to see how the 'next man up' performs against SLU?
