IT'S AUBURN!!!!!

Smoking on the field. Fights with the band. Stomping on the Tiger's Eye. Going to that hellhole to see the Refs steal games.

"You must not be from 'round here, boi."

Seriously, though. How long have you been an LSU fan? Anyone who has followed either of these teams for more than a couple years knows how weird this series is. Theres always a story line that comes from an LSU-Auburn game.

Just to make a few:
2017 there was the TD taken back because LSU of a laaaaaaaate delay of game penalty. This resulting in the firing of Miles.

2006 was the PI that was called on a tipped pass.

2001 was Auburn jumping on the Tiger Eye with cigars.

And there are many more.

Definitely a lot more concerned about this than the Kentucky game.

Will be very happy with any victory over there.

LSU is 4 - 8 at Auburn since 2000

4 of those 8 losses were to Auburn teams that were either unranked or ranked lower than LSU was at the time of the game.

This game will be not be easy but can be won with a clean game, no turnovers, few penalties, solid special teams.

If you are not.....you are a fool!

I'd go one further and say there are ABSOLUTELY no guaranteed wins left on our schedule. All winnable, but i wouldn't bet on a single one, not even Arkansas.

Jordan-Hare is always tough even if LSU is significantly favored. The thing I always say is no SEC stadium can duplicate Death Valley at night for a prime time game. But...LSU can't fill the stadium for an 11am kickoff and other SEC teams can. I fully expect Jordan-Hare to be at capacity @11am and a difficult environment to play in.

LSU hasn't won an away game in two years, and they are playing a team that just beat the #1 ranked team in the country. And you don't think we should be concerned? Ok, hope you are right.

Not if we can run the ball and not turn it over and stop the run. If all of that happens I’m not worried at all.

Auburn at JH Stadium in modern history rundown:

1989 - LOSS and couldn’t score a TD even as our D held them to 10

1992 - LOSS and one of the worst Tiger teams to ever set foot on a field played a much better AU team to the final gun.

1994 - LOSS and we know what the Jamie Howard game entails.

1996 - WON thanks to Raion Hill

1998 - WON 31-19 over one of their worst teams of that era

2000 - LOSS after an entertaining game for three quarters until we kick it to Tim Carter

2002 - LOSS even though we were a favorite and sloppy 11 am game was an embarrassment and knocked us off our 6-1 pedestal.

2004 - LOSS with no offense minus a first drive TD. Ronnie Prude game. Hosed.

2006 - LOSS with Les Miles electing to play one of the worst conservative games of all; referees were not letting us get out of JH with a victory.

2008 - WON with a second half comeback speared by Jaret Lee. Two mediocre teams.

2010 - LOSS and Cam Newton wins the Heisman as he outruns PP7.

2012 - WON 12-10 over a subpar Aubbie squad

2014 - LOSS big time

2016 - LOSS goodbye Les game

2018 - WON with a walk off FG

I’ll stop there bc 2020 was pure garbage.

Unlike Alabama historically, we play Auburn much better at home. From 88 thru 2019, Auburn (and Florida) were opponents we always had issues beating on the road and whoever won the game in those days, usually represented the SEC West in Atlanta.

So yes, I am worried and Auburn is in just as good a shape as anyone right now. They beat us? They get Hogs at home; Samford; at Ole Miss; at State and close at Bama. They likely lose 2-3 but could make a run. They are sky high right now and if they beat us, they are likely 8-2 going to Ole Miss. They are trending in the right direction.

LSU wins this one pretty easily by 10+

we have only beaten them at JH by 2 scores TWICE since 1973.

i bet you picked us to blowout ole miss also huh? i ate the rat poison and figured we could win by 10-14. so much for that. not a blowout prediction but thought we could win by 2 scores.

what about kentucky? i figured that game would be a one score game. yes we shoulda won but didnt. refs screwed us royally plus our defense at critical times.

this game could go either way. crazy shite happens at auburn.

Not even close to being the same situation.

Auburn is always a rough, bruising game for our Tigers, esp @ Auburn. It'll likely be a full four quarter game.

Been to Auburn 3 times. 2000. 2002. 2004. We lost all 3 times. It’s a really tough place to play and the team sometimes doesn’t seem to bring their best when we travel there. And they always seem to get some lucky breaks. It’s always tough.
