It just sucks that we went from one the most mild tempered coordinators in football to one of the most hot headed.
It’s one far extreme to another within a year. Probably hard to adjust to that as a player.

If I had a nickel for how many threads were started about Les Miles never showing any emotion on the sidelines. Now Pelini does it and its a bad thing.

My son won fan of the game and sat on the sidelines for a basketball game during John Brady’s tenure. He cussed so loud, that a few of the older fans use to change seats farther away.

Brady was an a-hole, I used to watch practice sometimes because our training room before they built the new one my freshman year was in the PMAC. He hated and cussed at jack warner so much, telling to stop trying to be a f’ing hero for just hustling on drills, practice plays, or scrimmage

I couldn't stand Brady as a coach, but he is great on the radio. I was shocked at how good he is

It’s honestly weird in a way but also revealing on how players deal with these guys personalities. During a game they can come across as the biggest prick in the world but off the court (I assume most) are good guys to talk to. Brady has every reason to hold a grudge against LSU. He was fired a year and a half after leading LSU to the final four and then the program absolutely tanked proving him right in a way. Instead he’s the color guy on the radio very complimentary of Wade in the broadcasts I’ve heard and does a great job of breaking down the game. A huge surprise.

I have zero problem with Pelini cussing at players, depending on the purpose. These guys need a fire lit under their asses.

I know it's stylish to say Pelini's incompetent, but we don't know for sure. I will say, his SYSTEM is likely far better than it currently has looked on the field this season.

I think it's a perfect storm this year. The majority of the impact players left after the title. You have guys returning that were probably coasting, satisfied with that 15-0 record. You had freshmen superstars that know they're great and don't pay attention to next-level coaching (yet). You are replacing a laid-back cerebral guy with a hardcore bitcher, and you never got the spring and summer "boot camp" sessions to whip them into a cohesive team, and acclimate them to the new style of coaching. The result is the defense has looked like shite, causing us to lose 2 games we scored over 30 points. The D has not done their job at all, coaching or otherwise. Players need to have their pride called out to learn their assignments and do their job. It's not Pelini's scheme to have guys running wide open all the time. He might not have the best scheme, but it's got to be better than what we've seen. Talent-wise, we should be matching up better. They look like they're playing defense like an NBA Allstar game.

I want to see what this D looks like by the end of the year, and next season, before I cast judgement on any coaches.

If you watch Saban dog cussing players when they come off the field, most of them never even look at him, and just keep walking. I doubt they disrespect him, but they aren't interested in standing there and hearing it. Same way Kiffin never even looked at him.

I don't have a problem with coaches chewing that arse, but when the players are looking you off like they don't give a flip, you are making a fool out of yourself.

We should hire him back as head coach after Wade gets canned at the end of the season. NCAA is going to come down hard and we need a good coach, who loves LSU, to takeover to take us out of the mess we’re about to be in.

Well, this is a case of chewing someone's arse when you are ragingly incompetent. It is not so much the chewing as it is Pelini has no fricking clue what he is doing. How can you expect "buy in" if no one trusts what they are being coached to do?

This 100%! If you actually respected the coach you’d have no problem with arse chewings. But look at the way they don’t even look him in the eye when he yells at them. It’s clear as day they don’t really respect what he has to say.

Good Lord dude, you're such a shitty poster.

I actually think you're just a shitty person. Some people make a couple of shite posts here and there or maybe shitpost just to troll every now and then, but that's all you ever do. It makes me think you're just a really dumb person that doesn't know any better.

I had an offensive line coach in high school who was a huge skinhead w a voice like coach O. Messed up an assignment in practice one time and he hit me full speed and laid me out.
Hed be in your face half spitting while cussing red in the face.

He didn't do that shite to the little guys though. Its not that big of a deal, toughened you up. Im glad as hell I had a hard arse for a coach.

If a coach is successful, everything he does is right.

If not, he’s an out of control a-hole.

Let’s hurry up and be successful again.
