He needs to be demoted immediately and then fired after next yr. He’s a dinosaur that thinks yelling is a motivational tool. The disconcerting issue is ogeron’s approval of Pelini.

Let's not act like we all wouldn't be doing the same thing.

My son won fan of the game and sat on the sidelines for a basketball game during John Brady’s tenure. He cussed so loud, that a few of the older fans use to change seats farther away.

I was fan of the game once also. I did not hear Brady ever offer a word of encouragement to a player. He did curse a lot.

I do like him on the radio now. He does a real good job.

Anyone catch that? Pelini got very heated on the sidelines with his defense especially the secondary, he appeared to lose it, seemed at his wits end with this young secondary. Don’t see him wanting to stay around if this continues.

And so the pussy arse generation that is upon us can’t take a dose of reality.

We’re fricked.

I also saw a D-lineman getting his arse chewed and was looking the other way like "who gives Crap". That's what concerns me. I'm wondering if the players have ant respect for him.

They aren't responding to him at all.

Players respond to coddling instead of coaching now. Pelini’s method is from a bygone era.

This seems like the old Les argument, you wanted to get on players like Saban does when they mess up. Pelini does it and now it’s a problem?

I’m not a Pelini fan but no problem with him chewing arse especially if they weren’t doing their assignment

Well, this is a case of chewing someone's arse when you are ragingly incompetent. It is not so much the chewing as it is Pelini has no fricking clue what he is doing. How can you expect "buy in" if no one trusts what they are being coached to do?

That's his SOP. It hurt him at Nebraska.

Anybody get the impression that LSU’s mic of players aren’t capable of understanding the defense. It looks like they are often way out of position and badly miss assignments leaving wide receivers wide open.

Waaaay back in the day I’d look at the tip of coach’s nose as he yelled and would not dare look away. We learned through our legs by running like mofos.

I couldn't stand Brady as a coach, but he is great on the radio. I was shocked at how good he is

I saw that, and most of the players were just ignoring him. You can't rant and rave at players today like you used to be able to do 20 years ago. That was my main concern about him when he got rehired (although I will admit I was in favor of the move at the time).

Somebody let Saban know.

I know that’s different, but it also proves that it isn’t the approach alone that’s the issue. Saban has respect because of his unassailable track record. Pelini’s problem is that respect has to be earned (or earned back in Pelini’s case) before you can do all that yelling and screaming.

He needs to learn how to say “Bull Corn,” “Fudge,” or “”Puddin’” like my Skip Bertman Camp Coach would say.

You are exactly right, Folsom. People can downvote away but it’s a real fact of being a coach in the 21st century.

You have to invest In your people before you see return. Period.

Respect is earned not demanded. What has Pelini done to earn the players respect?

I agree with you. The screaming and hollering is frickin caveman bullshite. I played baseball and football from Little League all the way to my senior year and the yelling never had a positive affect ...only negative. Coaching is being able to communicate and teach what the player did wrong and how to correct it. Insulting an impressionable kid by calling him a “stupid no good piece of shite” isn’t positive at all.
