The only concern I have is the inducements from the Wife's account with respect to LSU's position. With Wade gone it seems like the only thing they could possibly hit LSU on

This was one of the player's fiancé right? If youre being technical, he didnt give the money to the player. Whos to say she was a decision maker in this instance. How much money are we talking here too? Ill say this again, I could be looking at this all wrong but I would have rode with Wade and fought this shite.

No, the fiance I am not worried about since it happened at VCU. Only would matter to LSU if they used in giving Wade a show cause, which is moot now for LSU.

The joint account is alleged to have been used in giving payments to a handler of a recruit.

I read it all and concluded that the document could essentially be only 3 pages long without all of the added superlatives and extensive narratives. In summary, Wade and Armstrong did some shite that was uncovered due to both of them not adequately covering their trail or without adequate plans in place to handle recruiting and the recruits’ posses. So, being dumb got them canned. I saw the same things that I suspect many, many other coaches and athletic departments do on the reg but are smart in handling “the process”.

After reading this… it seems like a lot of the allegations were very easily defendable. The ncaa must have held a gun to Woodward’s head or he really didn’t like Wade. Either way he better fricking nail the next hire because I really think this could have been ridden out for a year with Wade intact.

A lot of hearsay in here and not much substance. The text and payment to the “presumed” associate of a recruit are the only concrete evidence. Not sure why this presumption is made and why the hearing would have to accept that.

So they did a whole investigation but keeps using word “it is alleged”. They didn’t come to conclusion?

I can allege someone did something but it doesn’t hold in court even if that someone did it

Sounds like the fiancé played Wade like a fiddle.

He turned that phone in with the saved text messages before he was hired at LSU. LSU and the NCAA knew of this before he was hired at LSU.

That’s it?

You’re telling me we fired Wade when these are the allegations in full?

I’ve changed my mind, I’m pissed at Woodward for not standing up to this

Timing of the firing was impeccable. Woodward waits till seasons end so he can avoid being called out on in the Pmac like Alleva was.

Any chance LSU rescinds Wade’s termination as facts come to light and LSU fan base becomes increasingly uneasy with the unpopular axing of a great coach?

It was in wades contract that if there were level 1 violations he would be terminated.

This is concerning Cisse who we did not land. This is a pure allegation based on he said she said. Calipari's mom could have told the NCAA investigators this story for all we know. The NCAA provides no evidence that this happened.

Shouldn’t this be reason to investigate the team he did go to? Or are we to believe he turned down our offer for nothing?

As I said before, Football is being held hostage for the basketball issues.

Football has much more substantiated allegations. Everything with basketball is primarily hearsay

Yep. Wade still looks like a numbnut but we could’ve gone the kansas route. Hell we probably could’ve gone the Auburn route, sacrificed Armstrong and thrown away next year with a postseason ban. But like I’ve been saying it all comes down to Woodward wanting his own hire. The arrival of the NOA was what he was waiting for. I wouldn’t be surprised if they received the NOA weeks ago but only leaked it last week to crank up the heat on Wade. Otherwise all parties could’ve waited till after the season but they’ve neutered the team to almost seemingly sabotage the chance of a run. You could see even before the loss to Arkansas Wade seemed a bit exasperated.

Don’t frick this up scott.

Violations? Or Allegations? Big difference.
