I feel sorry for the rantards who have no patience ,it’s going to be a difficult season for you.LSU could have a great team and lose 3 games with this schedule. OM,A@M back to back,ALA,TENN,TEXAS,AU,is a brutal stretch.Nicks old team would have problems with that.Do any of you think LSU has that kind of depth in LKs 1st season. We all can wish, but some of y’all are going to be very disappointed ,40 mil doesn’t mean shite when it comes to this schedule.

Nobody with half a lick of sense claimed that CBK needed a decade to rebuild the team, you dumb shite.

He needed what he got and didn’t get the job done—four years.

We signed over a dozen stud WRs, 3QBs, and have DL depth for days.

We might be a little shallow at cb, but we gave LK everything he wanted including keeping Baker from taking a HC gig.

All the pieces are in place as our competitors didn’t buy what we did. The time for patience is now as you haven’t seen any overreaction to a poor scrimmage last week. By the time Clemson rolls into town this should be well oiled and ready to go. Joe Sloan, Brad Davis, and Frank Wilson are long gone.

It's not an easy schedule. But it is favorable despite being tough. Clemson, A&M, Alabama and Texas are all at home. @ Tenn will be tough coming off of games vs. Bama and Texas.

@ Ole Miss won't be easy. But LSU now has what made OM good (it's HC and offensive staff). @ Kentucky, @ Arkansas and @ Auburn are unknows because all have new HCs but UK and Arkansas haven't been juggernauts.

The game has significantly changed. Coaches can sign dozens of experienced players. In fact, signed 40 such players with varying levels of experience. This ain't the old days of trying to stack HS recruiting classes to build for something 3 years down the road. LSU has talent and depth. Getting it to all gel in a matter of months is the task. The encouraging news is that LSU's HC has been one of the better HCs in the country of meeting that task.

Sorry, when the transfer rules changed so did the reasonable expectations timeline. It doesn't take multiple years to "build". No one is reasonably expecting a NC. But a CFP appearance is a reasonable exception. Good players/coaches win regardless of schedule. Average coaches/teams complain about the schedule

nope. Lane's getting paid a fortune and there's no honeymoon. We should be in the playoffs.

The old days of needing years to rebuild a roster through multiple recruiting cycles are long gone. With NIL and the portal, it can be done overnight.

Are you familiar with the national champion last year?

A 40M roster and getting paid 13M a year is not the recipe for “patience.”

frick that

He’s got a $40 million dollar roster

Win now

I agree with this. There is no more wait until years 3-4 and show improvement. This is the job now - win or leave. He has more horses than the bulk of the SEC teams. He is paid well.

Think they paid for the cream of the crop but they dont appear to be living up to their value. Probably be dust in wind if the were DT’d.

His allowance is 2 losses. 3 if they make it to Atlanta. Sorry, but that's CFB today at a football school. There are no rules or barriers to rebuilding.

In the age of paying players and all the money associated with sports and attending games, patience has become a waning quality trait.

I don't use LSU sports to measure my self worth like many on here, so I think that 9 wins is a good starting point when considering all the turnover and changes in scheme and personnel.

By year three, all the expectations will be in place for this program.

I bet you eat lunch at Ruby's quite a bit or have. I am from Eunice as well and ran into an old coach who is now 91 at Ruby's a few weeks ago..

Good for you, sir…I hope I am still interested in LSU at your age!

I know Blueridge Tiger is in his ‘90s too, but I think you have a few years on him.

I wish I could have. Seen what LSU was like back in Y’all’s day!

When a 96 year old tells you to have patience you should probably have patience.

I'll give him 3-4 years to win it all. If it hasn't happened by year 4, it may not happen.
