NY Times
Do you honestly think the university president came to that decision without consulting their attorneys? That statement was written by attorneys.
And if that’s the university’s stance how can you think Pat Casey even had much choice in the matter, other than maybe quitting himself.
IMO Heimlich might have been better off if the school or the coach had kicked him out. You can bet he would have brought a civil suit and probably would have won. The school had to cover their asses.

Ray had issued a statement after the university reviewed the case, saying in part it would “welcome all educationally qualified students, including those rehabilitated from past crimes.”

Ray, the Oregon State president, supported Heimlich’s voluntary withdrawal from the team last season. He also left the door open for a return. “If Luke wishes to do so,” he said in a written statement at the time, “I support him continuing his education at Oregon State and rejoining the baseball team.”

Not sure how we are out on Sully because he was sleeping with college girls but will hire a guy who welcomed a pedo on his team. The fact is nobody knows. Well one guy does.

This will be an interesting hire.

Also with our Title IX rape stuff, ummm, this might not be the best plan
Apparently the admins aren’t ok with a recently divorced guy having fun with younger, adult, consenting women. But they’re ok with a pedo enabler.

Just from a body count standpoint, this is a step in the right direction.

I doubt he’d make it 7 years. If Casey took this job I feel like it’s to ring chase a bit. On the surface that seems fine, everybody wins right ?
But when you’re treating it like a short term rental are you going to do all the things you should be doing to maintain a program or just focusing on the present ? Is he going to be hitting the recruiting trail to keep the cupboards loaded with talent ?

Do an Urban - win another ring in the next 3-5 years, retire again and we get a younger coach

I think there is only one name that the majority of LSU fans would be happy with as the next coach. And we are playing him this weekend. Beat him and go to the CWS and show him what he’s missing. #RetireVitello

By leading candidate, that means they talked to him and now they are testing the appetite for it. That's a big No-Thank You for me Mr Woodward.

There is a certain Nationwide pitch man that's not going to let that happen.

Moscona is on Morning Scone right now and is saying he believes today will be the day. Sounds like O'Sullivan took himself out the running after basically setting a timeline for LSU after all that stuff leaked. Have to think it's Casey.
