Jimmy Ott just said on Moscona’s show he’s hearing 1.8 mil offer to Casey with 24 hours to decide. If you believe Ott

I'm not getting the point you are trying to make. Are you trying to say the guy caught lightning in a bottle 3 times?
Well..that 2nd title was lucky as shite..but that’s a different discussion. But in an 18 year stretch to only have those 3 years kinda sounds weird.

U has built a bad reputation recently of setting aside all morals to obtain victories in athletics. Hiring a guy who is a clear example of throwing aside decency to win ballgames does nothing to repair LSU’s image. It makes it even worse.
Stupid take

This has to be a smoke screen on Casey....you don't give that ultimatum to a guy like Casey if he is your guy.
You coddle him along and get his arse on board.

Moscona also said there was an in person interview recently with Casey

From a resume standpoint you really can't do better than Casey. Hell of a baseball coach.
What makes it likely...
1. He's available.
2. Fits the Woodward profile of hiring a coach that has won National Championships before.
What doesn't add up...
1. Casey's age
2. Geography fit
3. Pedo stink seems really problematic with current environment at LSU right now.
Guess we will find out soon enough.

Well LSU is woke so I agree with this statement.

This would be a potential PR nightmare and frick Pat Casey for his pedo cover up,
How did Casey cover it up?
How do you cover up something you don’t know about?

Let’s be real here. Kendall posted this so he could have a 20 page thread on Tigerdroppings with his name in the title.

This should be problematic regardless of your current environment.
Hiring a coach who allowed a guy who repeatedly sexually abused his niece when she was between the ages of 4 and 6 years old is fricking problematic.
That guy could never play on my team if I’m the coach and the coach who allowed that guy to play could absolutely NEVER be allowed anywhere close to my team if I’m an AD.
If this comes to fruition LSU deserves everything they get. Bury the goddamn Athletic Department because it’s dead to me.

He didn’t cover it up but knowing about it didn’t stop him from riding Heimlich all the way to a national championship in 18. He obviously decided that winning was more important than his morals.

Now you tell me if this happened to your daughter would you let her continue to live with and be associated with the family of her molester who is supported by the whole family???? I have a lot of questions on this deal.
What if you’re Heimlich’s parents? Is there ANY way you’d let him enter into a plea deal on a child molestation charge if he didn’t do it? He pled guilty to one count, but it allegedly happened repeatedly from age 4-6. If Casey’s hired, how do you defend his handling of the situation? By saying the family supports the accused so we’re all good now? The MLB wouldn’t touch Heimlich despite his talent, that should tell us something.
It’s like Alleva’s School for Crisis Management.

It has to be a smoke screen. you dont get any traction with that hire. Maybe if he was still coaching and successful. He retired 4 years ago. He has that issue with that pedophile pitcher looming over him. IF the board nixed Osullivan for the issues w/ his wife and the gf stuff this aint gonna fly either. He is a west coast guy with no connection to the south. His age is a detriment. Hard to point to the future when the guy is a year younger than PM. It just doesnt make sense and I find it hard to believe with Mcdonell saying he will listen, Bianco, Jarret, Heefner, Godwin and Vitello out there, you dont hire a Pat Kasey.

It really doesn’t matter what anyone believes he did. He is guilty, through his own admission, in the eyes of the courts. Letting that guy around the program is inexcusable. This isn’t a case of hearsay. He is guilty. He admitted to it.

I think its going to be pat casey.
It would be a great hire.

Is it possible that the people at Oregon State did far more investigation into the matter than you or I?
The kid didn’t play in the 2017 CWS or else Casey would have 4 national titles. Once the school and coach had time look deeply into the case, they let him back on the team.
It’s not as slam dunk as you think.

I don’t need anything more than a guilty plea. That right there is enough to be fricking nuclear.
They looked into alright. They looked into their roster and realized they didn’t have a fricking shot without him.
