Coach O is winning at a 76% rate while at good programs. I'd say that's proving himself.
He's 8-5 against ranked opponents, 4-2 against top 10. His SEC record is 12-4 since at LSU. I have no idea why people still being up Ole Miss when he's clearly said that he's doing things differently at LSU and his record backs that up.
Sure going to Florida and beating them soundly will go a long ways. Coming home to beat GA and Bama would no doubt kill that perception. But what if he loses on a last second catch where the DB falls down to GA and then we compete with Bama and it's a FG to 6 point lose? Then LSU goes undefeated the rest of the way.
Wouldn't that still prove he's pretty damn good and deserves his respect? I get it, earn your respect but IMO he's earning it and if you don't have that same view then you need to just stop watching LSU football bc you'll never be on board. I want to see an upward trajectory as well. So 10-2 this year with 11-1 next year or 10-2 with some great games. Bowl wins of course. By his 4th year I want to see some movement and him beat Bama. I also believe he's earned his respect. He will not all of a sudden fail the team in the back half of the schedule and if he does I'll eat my words.

That’s not how it works. Your record is your record.
Let me remind your dumbass that Ole Miss was tied with us in 2003. Cutcliffe was a winner at Ole Miss. Tubbs was there before Cutcliffe and didn’t win like him.
Then Freeze, whom he hired, took the same players and won.

Good wins over AU and UM. The other three?
Best UF, UGA and MSU and I’ll stop posting these kinds of facts. They have to prove themselves against great competition.
