Everyday that I turn on the television, read articles, watch YouTube videos etc. I consistently see programs like Notre Dame, Florida, USC, Miami and other schools always seem to get the benefit of doubt. It's like the media outlets across the country desperately want these programs to win, and if they lose, there always seems to be an overflowing of support and this sometimes even reflects in the polls. LSU on the otherhand gets constantly bashed in the off-season, coach O was on the hot seat after 1 season, everyone was picking us to be at the bottom of the SEC, when we win the media will change their tone to a degree, but you can tell they are foaming at the mouth just waiting and hoping for us to slip up, and they expect it. We get all of this disrespect, but we continue to haul in top 10 recruiting classes, have won 8 or more games every season for almost 2 decades, and our stadium atmosphere is one of, if not the best in the country. I guess what my question is... What will it take for us to get the same want for us to win from the media that those schools I mentioned above? I never seen this many people before after a 5-0 start wish for us to fail than I do now. Just seems like no one wants us to win besides us and maybe Ohio St. fans due to Joe Burrow.

Just YouTube every prediction talk of almost every game besides the cupcakes. I heard Finebaum the other day still not sold on us and he expects us to lose possibly at Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Guess what I'm getting at is there are still alot of people not sold on us after a 5-0 start.

Dominating football games will do the trick.

What proof is there that we can have sustained success in a season?

I know fans might believe in the team, but why would the media give us love when we've fallen on our face more times than not since 2011?

Go 10-2 or better and they'll believe our next 5-0 start.

It is possible that we could lose at the swamp and to #1 and #2. I don’t think we will but it’s for sure possible.

Take off the purple and gold glasses and stop thinking that everyone should suck our dick constantly.

I hope you are right. Was listening to a guy on YouTube saying that even though LSU beat Miami, that Miami was still the better team and that they would beat us now that they switched quarterbacks. Hopefully after we beat Florida and Georgia that it will silence these people. Meanwhile Clemson squeeks out a win over Syracuse and is still projected in the playoffs lol.

Do you watch football outside of the SEC? Serious question.

Clemson lost their QB in that Syracuse game and won with the 3rd string guy. Miami hasn't been tested since our game but they are playing a different QB. We beat them soundly due to their mistakes, but they're talented.

If we win the next two the media will be all over our dicks.

We play in a hard division and haven't done shite for the last several years, including years that we were at least 5-0. Why should they be sold on us?

I'm not sold on us running the table, and if you're honest, you aren't either.

Maybe Miami beats Clemson in the ACC championship game. And then they get their wish for a rematch with LSU in the playoffs. Sure hope so.

I am as sick of our national perception as y’all. But, we came by it honestly. With the last regime, we didn’t play to win. We were busy playing not to lose. Our recruiting looked better on paper that it was helpful to the team. Our special teams made me ill to previous seasons. Our offense was one dimensional. We survived on LA recruits’s hearts and talent (am greatfull for every out of stater too!) and Aranda’s genius. The players bought into the coaching staff and direction before the fan base.

So, if the national media isn’t on board yet, give it a minute...’cause we comin!

Blah, blah, blah... you earn respect. Until your coach has a winning record as a head coach, he will never get and it will be reflected in the view of his team.

It is really that simple. Winning companies don’t hire people who put other companies into Chapter 11. Grow up.

Winning proves everything. As one poster said, go 10-2 or 11-1 and MAYBE there will be a little respect. Otherwise, it really isn’t any better than it has been since Miles left. Miles had the hardware...

I know what you mean and have noticed the same. Those kind of teams can lose a game and no one talks like they are a crappy team or program. If we lose, or even when winning, we are treated like we are some second rate team that really doesn't matter. Those teams haven't done shite in a long time either and for some reason it doesn't stop the media from propping them up.

Is that why we're ranked in the top 5?

Well Miami, USC, and ND have 2, 4, and 5 more NCs that us. UF is basically on our level this millenia, but they were far more relevant in the 90s than we were.

It's understandable why the media would clamor for the return of those programs to glory.
