re: I'll give aranda a pass

It seems like people want to complain about Aranda being the highest paid DC so therefore LSU should have the number 1 defense.
That’s fine if people want to hold him to that standard, but before they do, maybe they should check out SLINGERs salary and see if his offense lines up with where he ranks on the “highest paid OC” list.

right I understand that, but again that really makes it seems like the “negative” posters are much fewer and far between than the posters who post threads like this:

I really wish mods took a more active role in whacking threads like this ::sighs::
re: This is the type of game that LSU historically wins.

#3 USCe 2012, #3 Ole Miss 2014, #10Auburn 2017. whenever we are lower ranked at home in October we usually win. cant wait
So you and OP both claim LSU always wins this kind of games...so you cite 3 from the last 6 years...for a school that has been playing football for over 100.
I have no issue with y’all saying LSU will win, but I’m much more inclined to say it’s because the coaching staff has prepared the team, not some hokey fanokey coincidence.

thats one poster in this thread, and I didn't respond to him because his opinion is hilariously misguided.

6 different starting formations for 6 different games. LSU was fortunate it didnt catch up with them sooner.
The game camer down to 2 things: the momentum shift after the burrow fumble and the decision for brossette to not re enter the game on the last two series.

Fromm has only played in one other environment comparable to Tiger Stadium, and that was at Auburn last year, a game Georgia lost 40-17.
What do you think happens this weekend? Fulton pick 6 to win the game?

re: Is this the offense Pete Carroll ran at USC?

what is the identity of this offense? for all of the gripes of Les Miles offense, you can at least articulate it as a "power offense used to suck defenses in and make them pay on the play action"
As far as I can tell they are still trying to find their identity.

I'd be more curious to know who is the guy who decides which running back goes out for every offensive series?
According to these advanced stats, Brossette's success rate make it that much more puzzling it was CEH and not Brossette who was in the game for LSU's final two series.

Georgias best win to date was a convincing win over South Carolina on the road. I think LSU is slightly more talented than South Carolina.
31-30.

Please point me in the direction of these threads.
FWIW is not very difficult to scan thread titles beyond the first page. I would not have made this thread if I didn't think this was not the case.
Now maybe the "scoreboard" thread had those kind of threads in it, but I try to avoid posting on Saturdays because theres not a whole lot of reasoned discussion taking place and the TOLD YOU SO is off the charts.

Who else is excited about the Disco Biscuits return to Louisiana?

It most definitely goes both ways.
Then why are the majority of the threads talking about the Georgia game? Where are these threads with people gloating about predicting a Florida loss?
LSU fans fight because of gravity?

No, no it doesn’t. Because I did not see the board flooded with TOLD YOU SO threads all day yesterday.
That’s because no one is happy after a loss.

LSU is 5-1 and if Sullivan doesn’t drop one of the easiest catches ever who knows what happens. LSU would have had a first down at like the UF 35-40.
Not sure what’s so embarrassing. If LSU wins this week certainly not embarrassing.

That’s actually not what I said, at all. Maybe you typed that response for another thread and accidentally posted it here?

Just kidding I know it’s really just a one sided problem.
Last week after ole miss :
WHERE THE HATERS AT?!?
This week after Florida :
(No new threads)
So to the “fans” who claim that they are “better fans” because they are here after every win to remind posters that they never had in doubt about who would win, is it a personal satisfaction you get from being so condescending to fellow LSU fans? Or do you honestly feel like you are doing your part to be part of something bigger and act a solid a representative of one of the best fanbases in the country?
A little less hostility could go a long way. Now let’s join together to root for LSU Saturday.

Back to back 9-4 seasons will surely inspire confidence as this team travels to Austin Labor Day weekend
