OU Baseball Roster Tidbits

Just some tidbits:
- Only have one player from the state of OK (Jaxon Willits)
- Dawson Willis from Ruston is the brother of former Tiger CJ Willis. CJ played for us in '19 and '20 and then transferred to USL.
- Landon Victorian from Barbe (recall the name but don't recall the specifics but he may have been committed to us at one time). He's only pitched in 1 game (vs TX Southern)
- Cam Johnson has thrown 19.1 innings this season but only one since 3/9. His last outing vs UT Arlington on 3/18 was a disaster (1 IP, 2H, 3R, 3ER, 4BB, 1K, 1HBP). Assume he's hurt.
- There are twin brothers (Kyson and Malachi Witherspoon). Both are starting pitchers (RH) and both currently have 5-2 records. Confusing.
- Their other starter (Cade Crossland - LHP) is 3-0 in SEC play.
- INF Drew Dickerson is from the same town & HS as Alex Lange - West HS in Lee's Summit, MO

Kyson Witherspoon will be the best arm we have seen. He’s a top 15 pick in the upcoming draft

Thanks I love your inside info keep up the good investigation. I remember CJ Willis was a high draft prospect coming out of high school just did not pan out .
Victorian pulled a knife out on his HS Coach if I remember correctly, Can Ward we know the story sounds like last chance U .

One is their game 1 ace (kyson) and he is elite. The other starts game 3 and is below average, dont look at w-l record

Cam Johnson didnt pitch this past weekend, wonder if he's done for the year. Supposedly was "sick" his last weekend start where he saw like 2 batters then was pulled. They tried to give him an inning in a mid-week game 2 weeks ago and he walked 4, hit 1 and gave up 2 hits in an inning (threw 41 pitches that inning) and havent seen him since. Dude went off the rails pretty quick.
In his last 12 batters he's faced, he's only managed to get 3 of them out.

You might be right but Pico Kahn is pretty damn close. And the fact that he throws from the left side could put him ahead of Witherspoon.

Oklahoma's starting pitching is top of the line in the SEC.
They also have a ton of players with names starting in W which annoys me.
LSU will really need to get into their bullpen early if they want to win 2/3.

Meh, K. Witherspoon has been solid as their #1 guy but
#2 LHP Cade Crossland 6.66 ERA
#3 RHP M. Witherspoon 5.74 ERA
For reference, LSU has:
Kade Anderson 3.52 ERA
Anthony Eyanson 3.89 ERA
Chase Shores 5.40 ERA
LSU needs to run Witherspoon early on Thursday night and wear them out on Friday and Saturday.
