they'd better start paying attention to lsu's offense. this isn't the same. they're going to have to do more than stop fournette. we are getting more offensive players into the action.

harris is a serious run threat on the zone read. Williams is a beast at the fullback position. they are going to have to account for the TE and watch for dural and Jackson on the jet sweep OR the fake where either harris or fournette get the ball.

there is no way to project when harris will get comfortable. IMO he is too afraid of making mistakes. no doubt he's capable of making throws, but in a Les MIles offense the most important thing is not to turn it over. (for what it's worth - miles was always like this. it didn't just occur to him during the Jarret Lee freshman year- that was just solid reinforcement).

Harris is a threat. he is probably going to be most dangerous in the passing game on broken plays - schoolyard football. until he gets his confidence way up.

we are still running the ground and pound, but we're a helluva lot smarter and diverse with it.

kudos to the staff for unpredictability!

People at work saying this morning that we need a QB. Lord people give me a break seriously, are you watching the games? Do people know that you dont have to throw the ball 30 times a game to win?

No shite. We passed it 14 times and scoed 40+ points. I'll take that all day with our defense.

Absolutely. I loved the difference in the way we ran the ball.

Some people do NOT know that simple fact.

Some people do not understand that a yard gained rushing the ball is the same as a yard gained throwing the ball.

Some people do not understand that a TD made rushing the ball counts the same as a TD made throwing the ball.

The difference from week 1 to week 2 was big. Far less I formation run between the tackles this week as opposed to last. Not to mention we scored 45 points in week 2 (31 in the final 3 quarters) as opposed to the 21 (7 over the final 3 quarters) scored in week 1.

The game plan was fine vs Auburn.

check out ole miss and bama. of course there is some sanity there. bama had one post where the poster realized it's not going to be a cakewalk.

it's hard to blame our rivals for thinking this? they've seen our offense the last few years. why would they expect us to be any different, esp with the passing stats we've posted so far?

All of the other SEC teams boards on 247 were talking about how Fournette is a beast, every single one of them. They all recognize how dominant the OL has been for LSU.

Most fans are happy with the result of the aub game. But fans of LSU That know a little bit about football knows that u won't win jack chit with that pathetic one dimensional offense. Of course it looks good against a terrible auburn team and your basic non-conference FBS team. However to beat BAMA, Georgia, ole miss you better learn how to throw the damn ball.

I agree. If anything is certain, it is that we will continue to destroy teams whose internet fans don't start to concern themselves with LF and whose internet fan concern does not translate directly to the field.

As a Syracuse fan (oh hi, by the way, thanks for letting me post on your board!) believe me when I say: we're terrified of Fournette.

And honestly - when you have an outstanding run game, who cares how much you need to pass the ball? I'm going back into the SU archives here, but I remember one game with McNabb when we hung 70 on Rutgers and he only threw the ball 6 times all game.

You run the ball until the other team proves they can stop you.

The thing is, we hear it every damn year. It's always "shut down the run game and they're nothing" yet nobody can shut it down and we run roughshod over them.

You can't stop us.

Bama won't be able to stop Chubb on 10/3.
And after that loss, LF will be inside their heads.
