t5. LSU @ #21 Florida 2017 - considering all the bullshite with rescheduling in 2016 due to the "dangerous" hurricane, we had to beat Florida (no matter how ugly that game got).
Not to mention they were coming off a 30 point loss to state, a squeak by win vs Syracuse at home and a home loss to Troy. It was a good win to get back on track.
I’d say his top 5 wins are:
2018 Georgia
2017 Auburn
2017 Florida
2018 Miami
2018 Auburn

Georgia 2018
Auburn 2017
Louisville bowl game
UCF bowl game
Auburn 2018 or Miss. State 2018
It's embarrassing to put a win over a 8-5 team (Auburn) that finished the season unranked in a top 5 list. But who else are you going to put in that position?

Good win.

Good win.

3. #12 LSU @ #7 Auburn 2018 - Walk off field goal, cementing Kick Tracy as one of the best kickers in LSU history
A mediocre team that choked on top of that.

4. Fiesta Bowl 2019: #11 LSU v/s #8 UCF - Big BCS Bowl win with 2 of your best defenders sitting out
Missing their all-American QB. Good win, but people are overrating it.

Team that fired its coach and was downright awful and barely won.

t5. #25 LSU v/s #23 Ole Miss 2016 - This was Orgeron's first big win at LSU. I remember it very well. That land shark defense was so bad. We dominated them on both sides in the 2nd half.
Another horrible team.

4. Mid major that gave up 445 yards and 34 points in a half against temple
mid-major that had won 25 consecutive games and finished the season ranked 12th. Why do you insist on spinning him winning that game? Because we were a lot better than them and that's supposed to be looked at in a negative light?
quote:
2. 3 losses
also finished in the top 10
quote:
1. 5 losses
won the division and had 4 losses, not 5. Their loss to LSU was their only regular season SEC loss. Their other losses were on the road to #4 Clemson, #2 UGA in the SECCG, and #6 UCF in the Peach Bowl. But if you're going to be an a-hole and pretend Auburn wasn't a good team or win, you should at least be able to get their number of losses correct.
I swear you will do anything to denigrate any possible accomplishment of the football team since Orgeron took over. I don't know why it pains you so much to give credit where credit is due. I promise you can cite Orgeron's deficiencies and failures while also giving him credit for things he's done well and his accomplishments.
What's amusing is you talk about "facts" all the time but misstate facts fairly regularly and rarely admit you were wrong. And you also leave out other "facts" because they hurt your argument. It's very easily to manipulate facts and stats to suit whatever argument yo want to make. But that's not arguing in good faith, something I don't exactly expect from you when it comes to the football program. If you want to argue objectively as you think you do, you can't do that if you leave out things that aren't helpful to your argument. That is called confirmation bias. You already have reached your conclusion and then run and find whatever you can to support that conclusion.
Here's one to wrap your head around. In the 2007 national championship season, Les Miles beat 1 team in the regular season that lost fewer than 4 games and lost to two teams with 5 losses. Now, if I just made that blanket statement without any context, I could very easily say what you do "sorry, those are the facts " but that would admittedly be an outrageous comment to leave out any context because LSU also won the SEC and the national title that year.
2010, beat one team with fewer than 4 losses, no division title, no conference title. But it was a top 5 finish w a great bowl win and most people viewed it as a successful season and good bounce back from 2008-2009. Why can’t you do that now?

Orgeron's best win was Georgia 2018, but his most important win was @ Florida 2017. The wheels were ready to come off had LSU lost that game. Not an elite Florida team, but the Swamp was on fire and they were out for blood. I was there - the Tom Petty tribute was incredible.

Beating A shitty Florida team 17-16 when they missed a PAT is not his 5th best win.
Considering all that happened and how we blew the game against UF at home the year before, I think it was a bigger W than the 2016 bowl win considering we had just lost to Troy and were curb stomped by State two games before that. Morale was extremely low and there would have likely been no salvaging the season or his future at LSU if he would have lost that game too.
That W sparked the turnaround for that season. Yeah, UF missed an extra point, but they also had the ball at the end and LSU's D stuffed them and they turned it over on downs.

I can’t believe I have to remind our own fans what WE were missing that game. More than HALF of our defensive starters. Then we were down to our 6th and 7th corners. With both teams at full strength we blow their asses out worse. Easily.

When did I argue otherwise? Now it’s your turn to tell me where anything in that quote is factually incorrect. Is it your argument because some arbirtrary season was marginally better than 2018, that 2018 wasn’t good? Or is it your argument neither were? But you responded illogically in the other thread as well, so you’re at least consistent.

2008 - 8 wins
2009 - 9 wins
2010 - 11 wins
2016 - 9 wins
2017 - 9 wins
2018 - 10 wins
Maybe people don't say they're the same because they aren't.

I’m asking how he’s able to argue random stats out of one side of his mouth and ignore them in another? I wasn’t asking him to compare seasons, but clearly that went over your head. Rickie loves to frame arguments that don’t tell the whole story, just the part he wants told. Which is why I framed the 2007 and 2010 seasons with factually correct information but intentionally misleading...i.e. how Rickie argues in every one of these threads and tailors his stats to support his predetermined conclusion. If your takeaway was anything else, I’m sorry you can’t keep up

Well, when you are incapable of comprehending what was being said and why, you should expect to be called out on it

I comprehended and gave you a factual answer. I mean, you've been called out by two separate people on it.
Like I said, you don't need to be a bitch about it.
