1. LSU v/s #10 Auburn 2017 - Comeback from 20 down

2. #13 LSU v/s #2 Georgia 2018 - Beat down of epic proportions

3. #12 LSU @ #7 Auburn 2018 - Walk off field goal, cementing Kick Tracy as one of the best kickers in LSU history

4. Fiesta Bowl 2019: #11 LSU v/s #8 UCF - Big BCS Bowl win with 2 of your best defenders sitting out

t5. LSU @ #21 Florida 2017 - considering all the bullshite with rescheduling in 2016 due to the "dangerous" hurricane, we had to beat Florida (no matter how ugly that game got).

t5. #25 LSU v/s #23 Ole Miss 2016 - This was Orgeron's first big win at LSU. I remember it very well. That land shark defense was so bad. We dominated them on both sides in the 2nd half.

Replace the 5s with the bowl win Vs Louisville.

Beating A shitty Florida team 17-16 when they missed a PAT is not his 5th best win.

Neither if LF7 going nuts on a 5-7 Ole Miss team.

Louisville was 10-3 and had a heisman candidate playing who we completelt suffocated.

The first 2 are good wins. The list should probably stop there.

3. was against a what 5 or 6 loss Auburn team?

4. I suppose you could leave this in there solely because of the defenders we had out - imo we were VERY lucky to get them in our bowl match up. Even then, watching Ed O get pissy at Aranda because of a last second score right before half lost my respect. He should have gotten pissy at his offense going 3 and out twice before half, putting more pressure on a defense going against a no huddle offense with no one to sub in for rest. Further more, Aranda's defense had to play man up and blitz and Ed was annoyed that he didn't play safe - which would have guaranteed a core anyway with the personnel that he had left to defend with. Aranda stuck with his plan, giving up only 22 points to another team with a completely depleted secondary. This game was a great victory, but a wake up call for me - O will stick with archaic beliefs to win games i.e.: sitting on the ball with a small lead to try and bleed the clock, getting in prevent defense during 2 minute drills (when 2 minute offenses are designed to take advantage of such defenses), and playing for the field goal once entering the red zone.

5. UF - beating a team with a losing record due to a missed field goal is not a freaking epic win.
Ole Miss - this team was a freggin joke - why did you even put them on there?

His best 5 wins are: 2018 UGA, 2017 Auburn, 2016 Louisville (even this is out of context as Louisville tanked it at the end of their season), 2018 UCF, and probably 2016 Arkansas.

Louisville was a big win, but we were so much better than them. I think the outcome was expected.

Big win nonetheless...

Many LSU fans were very much looking forward to that Florida game. It was a big game and a must win for Orgeron.

The 2016 Ole Miss game is in there because of all the unknowns. Orgeron's haters heavily outweighed his fans at this point. He was playing the team he previously coached. It was a big night game in Tiger Stadium.

In 2016, especially before he was named the permanent coach, I don't think that Ed had any haters. Nearly everyone was excited about the departure from the Miles offenses of the past and looking forward to the future. This is revisionist history at best.

I agree. I absolutely loved that Louisville game. Also, contrary to what people say about bowl games I think they provide the final impression of the season, set the tone for the offseason and give a boost for recruiting. It's always good to win your final game and if the catch and missed tackle on the ND WR doesn't occur and we beat ND, 2017 is viewed as a bad start, but good trajectory type season.

Exactly, because NO ONE thought he'd ever realistically be Miles' replacement. Hell...the narrative that entire 3/4 of the year were the "must wins" that he needed to have to even be considered...and even after not getting them he was tapped anyway.

Now...I've never liked him and was unhappy Miles brought him on staff because I honestly don't trust him...but other than that and the VERY slim chance that he'd be named Miles' replacement I only cared about Orgeron in so much as there started to be a groundswell of support for the local guy on here and elsewhere. My attentions were elsewhere hoping for the type of replacement everyone spent years saying that actually wanted...only to completely give up on those aspirations in favor of our very own DL coach.

100% agree.

I would probably put UCF in the top 5 because it was a NY6 bowl, UCF was ranked #8, and the way LSU did it.

LSU kept the ball for 44 minutes on
Offense and limited the play of the LSU defense which was missing numerous starters.

Georgia was definitely the best win to date for me, considering the quality of opponent after a tough loss the week before.

At the time, however, both Auburn games were huge, as was UF 2017. That was a very embarrassing week after losing to Troy and he pulled it off.

Mississippi State this year deserves honorable mention as well. The gauntlet of UF, UGA, MSU, and ALA was especially brutal, and their defense was tough sledding all season. Holding them to 3 after 37 the year before was impressive, and our team was undoubtedly tired.

That same defense health them to 0 fist downs their first 5 possession of the second half. Including a 3-out and the. Holding them to a FG on 4 plays after a fumble.

The reason I put Louisville over them is that UCF just didn’t belong on the field with us.

Maybe last year with Milton and that beast LB, but not that UCF team even with our backups.

I get that. I just think the coaching job while missing that many defensive players was outstanding.
