In other words, we refused to trot out the QB that would’ve given us a better chance to win because we didn’t want to burn the redshirt which doesn’t actually matter because he won’t be here by the time he’s a senior anyhow.

Incorrect. No way if that was the reason he did no play for it to be a good reason. Seriously, I doubt Nuss will be here 4 more years, get the best out of the players you have while you have them. Worry about 4 years from now.

Furthermore if you’re really THAT worried about it you don’t give him any snaps with two games burned unless your starter is hurt.
I’m convinced CEO was making sh*t up in his press conference & Nuss not being used as an excuse is what this alleged phone call was about.
