They don’t get a decision…you made a commitment to fricking play! We don’t ask mommie and daddy what is ok. Can you imagine Saban doing this?

Dumb Nussmeir won’t be here in 2025. The redshirt doesn’t matter.

You’re approaching this from a coach’s point of view. Remember what the player and their family wants is what makes the ultimate decision.

I guess that is more important that beating bama at bama...and I thought Nuss had one more game to play and still RS....but maybe I am wrong or O can't count. Max is gone next year in the portal...and I'm ok with that.

Hope so. Kid's the real deal. If there was a pitch, I hope it didn't take.

Imagine trying to play this off on the kid or his family when it wouldn’t have even burned his redshirt anyway.

Would rather have the win. The defense played their hearts out. They deserved the better QB.

Alabama rarely has a down year and if you don’t take advantage of it and give LSU the best opportunity to win football games then you don’t understand what the university paid you millions of dollars to do.

This x 100.

I heard something a former player was saying about Saban (I know, I know...) in that Saban's mentality is you play whatever guy gives you the best chance to win today. You don't save guys for tomorrow.

Seems like a no brainer that Nuss should have been used, but I don't make $9M a year, so what do I know

If he played in this game, he couldn’t play in any other game this year. Meaning he couldn’t play against ULM, and if Max went out, even for a play, we’d be burning his redshirt.

So no, this game wouldn’t have burned it, but you can’t have a backup QB that can’t go in for fear of burning a redshirt.

Tonight wouldn’t have burned Nuss’s redshirt. Stop falling for false bullshite

I never said it would. I did however say if the staff met with his family, and they laid out a plan for him not to burn the redshirt, then they should follow that plan. If he had played tonight, he couldn’t have played in any other game.

Example: he plays tonight, then Max has to come out for a play say next week. Redshirt burned.

Why would they need to play him… half the team has quit. 5 or 6 wins what does it matter. Play kirklin or a walk-on, who cares

Unless Woodward told him not to, don’t know why he’d care
