So a large portion of you seem to think woodward made these hires...after O won a title. When has the rant ever before assumed the AD hired assistant for the head coach? I cant think of 1. Is it possible yall are making this up to fit your narrative?

Woodward is making all the hires. Except the good ones. Those are Orgeron.

But 104.5 ESPN fired Jordy Cullota for making this exact statement. I guess he got the last laugh

This is an underrated aspect of all this: Because Coach O himself is more of a CEO/recruiter/program builder as opposed to a *coach*, it is ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE that he makes good hires. The only way this model of a program works long term is if you consistently hit home runs with your assistant hires.
So for him to not even interview for these positions is completely and utterly inexcusable.

First off he said some, not all.
Secondly, I’m sure he spoke with pelini. Just because it wasn’t a “formal interview” doesn’t mean a whole lot. I’m sure with the experience Bo had, bringing him up to the grease board to draw up plays seemed insulting.

Exactly, Pelini was Ed’s guy, hence that ridiculous comment.
There’s no defending the no interview bullshite. College football offenses have changed so much since Pelini was apart of LSU and even at Nebraska. He’s been at fricking Youngstown State of all places since 2015. It was a complete failure not to do a full on interview with him. You’re one of the biggest football schools in the country handing out millions on millions to someone without even having a sit down? There’s no defending that. It reeks of pure arrogance from Ed after having his stars align the year before.
He didn’t exactly light it up his first stint here anyways.
