No he doesn't.
He was specifically hired to take LSU to the next level immediately.
He told the team they'd be in the CFP in 2017.
He has already failed by his own standards.

That word "deserves" was used intentionally to irritate the critics. Nothing about him and his tenure at LSU would I use in the same sentence as "deserves"

no one in this world 'deserves' anything. So f that shite. He is going to have to earn it same as any other coach would. does his hiring look better in retrospect? yes. Does he have LSU trending in the right direction? yes. Does he deserve it? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He will have to earn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He will get 2018 and 2019 and then judgment. I hope he gets us turned back to being a contender in the SEC.

Only way he should not get a 3rd year like most HC’s get whether proven or not is if he missed a bowl game. Even 6-6 (Miles buyout a factor) a 3rd year should be considered unless we were just blown out n every Sec game we lost. Dabo went 8-4 6-6 his first two years. Mullen didn’t win 9 either. I could go on and on. If Herman goes 9-4 last year the rant is probably excited going into this season.
