Maybe I'm reading too much into your posts in this thread, but it almost seems that you're saying that since LSU has struggled before that we shouldn't have high expectations now. If that's not your stance, my apologies.

We have one season of results. And it had some disappointing times in his first season, like practically every first year coach, but actually pretty good job of keeping the team together. You are basing all of this off credentials. And as far as my career.... close, I do run multi million dollar territory and i was fortunate that I wasn’t judged by my credentials, but results. I can’t wait for the season to start. Either you’ll have evidence to support your assured Coach O sucks, or we’ll all be happy that we are winning.

11 years ago, yes you are correct. If LSU hired coach O the year after his OM failure, I’d 100% agree with you. He’s been pretty successful since then. I have no idea what to expect but until something negative unfolds on the field, I’ll be optimistic about the season.

Personally I'm more concerned about how he performs at LSU than how he did at ole miss. LSU is a whole other animal. Than ole miss 10 years ago btw.

My credentials don’t match my job.

Do you mean your background wasn’t in the exact field/position as your current job or your previous experiences didn’t qualify you for this exact position?

Or do you mean you were hired before in the exact same position and were an unmitigated disastrous failure at said position?

Because that’s what he meant by credentials.

I don’t care who the coach is if they are competing for the West.

Ah the ambiguous COMPETING argument!!

Not winning the West, COMPETING for it.

How exactly do you define “competing” for the West and how long can he “compete” before he is expected to actually win it?

He’s entering his 2nd.

3rd actually.

He will be coaching his 20th game against Miami and will be over 30 and the end of this season.

How long does he need?

Well, by that definition all 7 teams in the division are competing for the West.

So “striving” to win but not winning will suffice?

Did Miles or his teams not “strive” to win?

We also have more recent Evidence which is much more relevant. USC and LSU are much more like LSU than ole miss and way more recent and thus more relevant.

If he can get LSU back on track is more important to me and most normal fans than what he did at ole miss 10.years ago. But continue to stew in your stench in yo little hole, we don't care what you do . Your not relevant

this narrative will not sit well with the terminally negative. It would mean they were wrong and we can't have that now can we?

Did you stop reading after the first word? There is also the part of actually winning.

Let’s just be excited about football.

I'm all for see how these changes play out and I'm taking a wait and see attitude. But, to act like what he did at Ole Miss isn't relevant to what he did last year isn't accurate IMO because the same mistakes were made. Obviously, that doesn't mean he will again this year, but let's not pretend that it's ancient history.

Based on what I saw....not every game. But you can keep kidding yourself and toting that torch.

No one expected Orgeron to turn around the program and get it to the next level immediately. The program was in decline. If you don't think their was a severe deficit on the both lines you're not very smart.

These are just lies. Show me the threads in between the time he got the interim job and the MSU game where people were expecting rebuild. If you find any, then compare those to the threads that thought we should be competing for championships with Miles gone.
