It's what happens when fans raise these guys up to God like expectations. Simmons was an 18 year old kid with the opportunity to be the number one draft pick and people on here hate him because he didn't single handedly put the team on his back into the tournament and piss purple and gold. Pretty pathetic honestly.

I give zero fricks about Ben Simmons. He can turn into the next MJ and I'd give zero fricks about him from an LSU standpoint.

No one is talking about that season. Again, did you watch the interview? Again, I have ALWAYS taken up for him but he took the opportunity to basically say his time here was a complete and utter waste.

I agree with most here. I wasn't impressed with him when he was here, and I feel no connection to him. And since the NBA is garbage, he is of zero significance as far as I'm concerned.

The NBA is awesome. I don't understand the hate here for the NBA. Over half the teams have a superstar. It's probably at an all time high in terms of overall talent. It's fun as frick to watch.

I don't care about his career at All, and I do a lot for most former tigers, so that's my answer.

i'm sure he did learn something about being a person while at LSU. If not, he wasted his own time. No one should go a full year at 18 years old and not learn anything.
He easily could have just said he was grateful for his time at LSU but it would have been better spent in the pros. He did have teammates, staff etc that he worked with everyday. I mean damn.

Ben is going to play a MAJOR ROLE (just like shaq does) in getting great players to continue to come here. Recruits will know Ben went to LSU, and that is priceless for recruiting. How people don't get this just amazes me!!!
