Jamie Howard was a good quarterback who ran afoul of some really wretched coaching. Lynn Amadee and Camp Curley needed their heads examined.

Even in spite of coaching shenanigans, Howard still did some good things behind center at LSU

The 1969 OMiss game was played in Jackson, MS. I was a frosh at LSU and was there with my pals.

I just watched the highlights from the 2012 21-17 loss to Bama for the first time since the game. Geez they had so many opportunities. The Spencer Ware QB sneak stand out as particularly egregious.

We never lost to Ole Miss in 68 an 69; we lost to Manning. It was so frustrating to see our defensive line and linebackers grasp him and then have him get away again time after time. The two years we were able to beat the Bear, but this Manning guy alone beat us. Ugh!
The 1970 game was so satisfying to see us destroy them in primetime on ABC TV was great!

I remember that game like it was yesterday. Archie had one arm in a cast.

Couldn’t agree more. Les was being aggressive all game with low percentage special teams with fake fg and onside kick. Yet his qb was hot all second half and les decided to run power and settle for FG which still wouldn’t have mattered

2002 game @ Arkansas. With everything that went wrong that season following the 2001 SEC Title, LSU wins and they are going back to the SEC Championship game.

Up 10 with about 7 minutes to go, and then settling for a FG to go up 6 with about a minute to go and lose on two plays for 80 yards and a TD.

Damn, that one hurt.

yup. as far as crazy painful endings 2002 is right there with 2012 bama.

that was the first miracle on markham. we woulda won the west 3 years straight had we won that. i was so pissed.

Ole Miss 2013. It was the first time in 5 years we were left with nothing to play for even before the Bama game.

Funny how many people replied 2012 Bama in TS. So I went on youtube and watched the highlights and only we can understand the pain this loss caused. Mett/OBJ/Landry were destroying the Bama secondary - EVEN ON THE LAST F-KING DRIVE! But somewhere on that drive, Les Miles the gambler, risk-taker, savant died and it was truly over. Truly over. Dangit.

I gotta go with lsu Florida the game where dumb arse criminal guice ran the wrong way and got stuffed vs Fla.
I sat in the stands for like an hour after the game. I still have not recovered fully from that loss.

2012 bama at LSU and it's not even close. t

Should have went for it on 4&6 with 1:38 left . Bama was out of timeouts. Get the 1st , game is over. “Hello, you play to win the game.”

The Florida re schedule.

That is a fricking terrible loss. Was there.

They acted like they just won a title. And there coach was an a-hole after the game.

I hate Florida with a passion.

Ole MISS 1969. That was LSU’s only loss and kept them from playing in ta bowl for the NC. #2 would be TN 1959. Two games 10 years apart.
