Aren’t we like 1-5 in our last 6 season openers? Nothing is a given, some y’all need to understand that and pump the brake brakes. I’ll just take a win.

Clemson won’t be a pushover. They still have talent. Dabo may have missed the boat on NIL and the portal but recruits and retains well.
We have no idea how quickly the offensive gels and becomes a unit or how well Leavitt does in a new offense.
In 2022, 23, 24 there was plenty of talk this prior to FSU and USC. True we were guided by a head coach who was all hat and no cattle but there were a lot blowout predictions.
You prove it on the field.

Our offense is NOT gonna be a jugernaut especially in Game One.

I think it’s gonna be a perfect storm reminiscent of 48-7 vs Va Tech. And we finally have a coach who isn’t afraid to run up the score. Lane is gonna make a statement game 1.

Easiest bet of the college football season is Clemson +whatever it’s growing to. I think it’ll be around 13.5 before the game starts. It’s week 1. LSU is new everything except defense. I think it’ll be 21-13 24-14 type game. Clemson scores late to beat the spread.

So realistically Lane is 1-1 in openers the last six years. Troy, Mercer, Furman and Georgia State are essentially pickup games.
