Ya and I have special insight into social media advertisements. Who's going to pay her millions? She's a gymnast. Is Nike increasing ad spend because of this? They reallocating resources from Simone Biles? Your comment is proof you have no idea what you're talking about. Advertising's goal is to drive sales. So again, I'm sure there are idiot companies or multinationals with unlimited ad spend that may overpay for her following but the high school simps and old men aren't going to be buying her yoga pants. Hints my comment.
She's a full blown influencer and a big time one at that. Millions of young women follow her it isn't just old creepy men. She'll get paid a ton by skin care, hair product, and apparel companies. And then the one-off appearance fees will be great for her at grand openings, parties, bars, restaurants, camps, etc. Then she'll be on at the very least local commercials. Hotels and resorts will pay her to visit and take pictures.
Nike isn't breaking the bank on her like they would a major sport, but she'll get dozens of smaller deals and appearance fees that will really add up.
I know an "influencer" who is just a rich chick that puts filters on her photos and she gets paid thousands of dollars a month at least. Also gets free everything from food to apparel to vacations. Even got a vehicle lease paid for. She's got 100k followers.

So you are the only one that has clarified she has women following her. In that case I could see it, although probably not as lucrative over time as people are making it sound unless her following is actively buying the products. I still don't really understand how this rule works in accordance with university though. Are there limitations on what they are allowed to do on social media? Can she work the Nordstrom Annual sale?

You aren't getting out of this that easily. I thought you had special insight into this industry, bro?

Looks like it will differ state by state.
From ESPN:
Are there other restrictions on how athletes can make money?
Yes. State laws and policies crafted by individual schools create an inconsistent variety of restrictions for athletes depending on where they attend school. In some places, athletes can't endorse alcohol, tobacco or gambling products. Others have some restrictions on whether athletes are allowed to use school logos and other copyright material in any paid opportunities.
Most states and schools also prohibit athletes from signing any deals that conflict with the school's sponsorship agreements. For example, a basketball player on a team sponsored by Nike would not be allowed to wear Adidas shoes during games. However, in most cases, that athlete could promote a non-Nike shoe company during times when not playing games or participating in other team activities.

For a guy claiming to have special insights on social media advertising you sure seem to be pretty clueless about its basic fundamentals

Exactly what I was thinking

You mean the guy who didn't realize that some of her 5 million social media followers were women isn't as smart/knowledgeable as he thinks?

It's hard for me to believe a company will overpay for millions of followers that drool over how hot she is. Does she have a huge women following? I doubt it but this guy is claiming she does, that's another story. Is she going to start doing make-up tutorials or outfit mix and matches while she's a full time gymnast? Because that's how girls make millions as an influencer. They target young professionals with money or young moms. Are they the type to follow her? There isn't any underlying variable, including followers, that makes them successful. I've seen the data, companies understand that huge followings don't drive sales after they use influencer marketing over time so why would she be the exception? I have no doubt she'll make a killing, I just doubt it's to the extremes people are pretending on here without anything but pure speculation based on followers.

I'm interested to see how this plays out long term. Sponsors may throw out money to begin this but over time they will see what kind of return they are getting on paying all of these influencers. They may find that they need to reel in the payments some. Don't know.
Also, this chick is hot no doubt. But seems like a selfish person. She has 3.9 million followers but she is only following 192 people.

That's an intentional strategy. If you follow too many people, you become less desirable, I don't know the science, but it's true. It probably makes you seem less cool or something.
They actually teach this shite in workshops and stuff. I think even colleges are adding courses on it.

Agree with this. It'll be like a gold rush and then most companies will realize most of it is fools gold.
It'll truly end up being the 1% getting good money and the rest not IMO.

We know a 16 year old kid from the martial arts circuit that has over a million youtube subscribers. Most of his videos are just goody everyday stuff now, but he’s making well into 6 figures the last several years. He bought his mom a Lexus for Christmas.
Livvy can market to men - if she promotes a men’s cologne she allegedly likes the smell of, simps will buy it. If she promotes a perfume, simps will buy it for their fat girlfriend so they can pretend they are sniffing Livvy.

Probably the reason the gymnasts and baseball players all jump in bed with one another.
Coach DD had an unwritten policy where gymnasts weren’t allowed to date football players. Believe it or not, the people who could easily brag the most—the football team—are the nicest guys out there
Remind me again which program is under federal investigation for covering up rape?
Maybe DD was onto something.

She doesn't seem vain to me. She actually seems normal unlike these other tik tok chicks. That's why i was sort of surprised by the numbers.
She is a hottie. Maybe it's the gymnastics angle.

And that right there is why she's gonna make money.
