Yes I am old, my favorite of all time was The Pastime. Started going there in 1967. Is it still there?

Always funny. Contrary to LSU sports fan beliefs, most LSU students do not do the bar scene or even actively follow sports. I know, hard to believe but it’s true.

Hasn't changed since Billy Cannon was playing.

I’d do ‘drinking with Lincoln’ at The Dugout and then walk over to Tiger Burger (use bengal bucks for buy-one-get-one) and then hit The Tiger for a beer or two prior to Sports Illustrated where the sluttier chicks hang out. If you can snag a chick, be sure to have a way to get back to your apartment.

Pastime still there and I love it. Memories of watching my older LSU student cousins play quarters and drink beer while I was eating pizza and watching tv feeling like i was a big kid at a bar.
Personally, I'd stay away from Tigerland unless they just want the LSU bar experience.

Are we supposed to mention Xanthus and Uncle Earl's?
Quarter beer or some pool anyone?

How about going really old school with The Bengal? I remember when that place was really hopping and you had to wait for people to come out before you could go in. Always at the end of the night they played Captain Jack. As Tigerland got more popular, it closed. Was cool in its time though.

The Pastime has expanded over the years to accommodate a larger dine in crowd. Bar is still in original place. Still good pizza along with other good menu items. Was one of my favorites as well. Still go there when I am in BR. Several years ago there was talk that it would have to be torn down because of a proposed I-10 expansion but that didn't happen. I was there a few years before you so I don't consider you as old. Do you remember a lounge named the Starmist which was located on Nicholson Drive not far from the Pastime?

Always funny when people make statements like this like you would know what most students did with their time.

Fred’s is solid and not exclusive to Greeks. That would be Bogie’s.
The House is the bar that’s pretty much exclusive to Greeks now. Bogies is a ghost town nowadays and like others have said Fred’s is really the bar that everyone at LSU goes to regardless of their affiliation with any school organization. Definitely recommend Fred’s to your kids they will love it. Also just like sweetwaterbilly said tell them to avoid Reggies at all costs lol.

87 or 88? Tiger Burger closed around then.
Anyone for nickel beer night at Doc’s? And that was a couple hours after Sport’s beat the clock special Thursday afternoon.
