Teams can get better over the course of a season. You see it all the time. It’s a thought process that seems lost in college football half the time.

It's a moronic take by him.

You people need to get some perspective. It’s a very valid take. It could go either way.

Not really, because he’s basing it strictly on head to head. If that’s the case for him, then LSU would be in front of UGA if we beat them. Which is the scenario that Pollack was laying out.

My dream scenario is TCU and USC both losing before conference championship weekend, and so then the top 5 looks like this:

1) Georgia
2) Ohio State/Michigan winner
3) Tennessee
4) Ohio State/Michigan loser
5) LSU

If LSU beats Georgia, then the committee has two options. 1) Put three SEC teams in the playoff, or 2) Find a way to keep either LSU or Tennessee out.

It would be wild listening to all the SEC haters dancing in circles trying to find reasons Tennessee or LSU shouldn't be in at that point.

I'll be rooting for UCLA, Illinois, Baylor, and South Carolina this weekend.

I think a win or two is possible.

what are their best three wins?

1 pt road loss to #13 Utah and we played like arse last week.

He asked for their 3 best WINS. You couldn't give one because they don't have 1 win against a ranked opponent and lost to the only ranked opponent they have played. Their best win is against unranked, 7-3 Oregon State.

It is in a bubble and ignoring circumstances.

LSU was missing two starting offensive lineman and didn’t have Perkins in the game but like 8 plays. It’s not the same team in that game.

The score is meaningless too seeing as if LSU beats UGA in Atlanta, then they would have beaten a team that UT got slaughtered by. LSU would have the better resume, period whe it comes to wins.

If Ole Miss wins out, LSU has the best win and third win. The second win is a tie between the two teams since both beat Bama at home.

In the end, what would be Tennessee’s third best win? A five loss USCe? A 5-loss UK that lost to freaking Vandy? Pitt?

Tennessee’s resume is literally two wins and a bad loss

And would have the same number of wins and likely more top 25 wins.

Tennessee will have played 3 teams in the top 25 of the CFP rankings.

LSU will have played 5. Slight difference there.

There’s an argument for LSU and there’s one for Tennessee.

Pretending like it couldn’t go either way is ridiculous.

The fact that they blew us out at home and their only loss is against the #1 team, between the hedges, is enough to put them ahead of us.

Remember the game thread when everyone said we were gonna move down even if we won? Lol

LSU controls their own destiny. Get in or get over it losers! Lose a game and no playoffs win out and beat UGA, we’re the story of the year and in the top 4

I hope you’re right. It’s going to be interesting If LSU wins out. I wouldn’t want to be on the committee…it will be a no win situation for them, regardless of what they decide.

I’m worried about lsu beating uab. Almost a guaranteed loss against a&m, definition of a trap game. And Georgia will blow out lsu in sec championship game by 21+

Real lsu fan that watched the Arkansas game.

I just love the fact that we are having this discussion 10 weeks in.

I mean, i want in. But what an incredible upward adjustment in expectations.

In year one

I have mixed feelings about these rankings. i know they're irrelevant at this point but i think we should be above Oregon

But they do matter week to week. They matter a lot, in fact.

I thought there was a chance USC would jump to 6 and the fact the committee thinks we are the still the better team means everything. Just like next week if USC beats UCLA while we play UAB, if they still have LSU ahead of USC, then that's really huge. That might indicate USC is not jumping LSU in the end.

the reason is say theyre irrelevant is since our only chance to get to the playoff is if we beat georiga, not our rank

You “real LSU fan” before the Bama game
