He had some good tackles but not good 'CB' plays. He got passed on. He made the tackles but regardless...he got passed on, successfully.

I saw him beaten 3 times tonight for about 35-40 yards. He isn't Nnamdi Asomugah. Those kinds of numbers are more than acceptable. He also had some great coverage throughout the game, prevented big plays including a pass in the end zone, and was able to tackle guys on bubble screens unlike the other corners.

are you serious. no passrush and he held his own very well, played excellent against the run and gave up zero yards after the catch. do you even know how to measure a cornerbacks success in a game? apparently not

I blame mainly the scheme...for a true soph he may be the best tackling corner I've watched in awhile

i will certainly say that the soft scheme we ran contributed a great deal, HOW-EVA, i won't say he played awesome like everyone is saying either.

this makes it obvious that you're just trying to get a rise out of people. peterson was very good.

but he wasn't

was he better than most of the guys on our D? of course. our D was fricking horrid tonite

but if that's a "great" game, then we're going to have a horrible defense this year

Nmade Asumwa and Champ Bailey couldnt cover UW's shitty WRs with Chavis' horrid scheme. I really didnt think anyone could be softer than Pelini vs UT in 2005 but he proved me wrong, I didnt think anyone could be as inept as Peveto but he's competing hard for that award.

i'm starting to think either

1. les only will hire guys with a soft scheme

or

2. les makes them run a soft scheme

prolly #1

Here's the list of successful cornerbacks in the history of football, then.

1) Nnamdi Asomugah
2) Deion Sanders for the prime of his career
3)

Most of the passes completed on Pat were underneath the coverage.

Hard to blame that on the player.

Eugene on the other hand got beat like a drum the whole damn game.

PP played ok at CB but fantastic in space. I thought he made some fantastic tackles in the open field.

That being said, Locker impressed me more than anyone.

Unbelievable. You cannot actually be this ignorant. Before you post here again, study the way that zone defenses are supposed to function.

SlowFlowPro...you are an idiot; re-watch the game. Have you ever played the game of football at the middle school, high school or college level??????

I'm guessing not from this post.
