We have an all world QB and have lost 3 games because the defense sucked. Unless CBK hires a phenomenal DC and better recruiters we're in trouble next year.

Does it really matter if you don't find some miracle to fix this defense in 1 year. You can bring in anyone but we not going anywhere with this shite of a defense. Find elite DBs. Nuss being QB1 is the least of my concerns

Odds are you have no idea what you are talking about...again

Kelly highly praises dual threat quarterbacks. LSU has landed two dual threat quarterback transfers within 4 years that had Heisman performances at LSU. And Kelly’s phone is probably blowing up now with calls from possible QB transfers.

Holy nonsequitur Batman.

Do the fricking math,

There is no math to do and if there were it would be this.

1 - There are currently no top-end dual-threat QBs in the portal and no rumblings about that that I have seen

2 - There was a highly touted dual-threat QB at LSU last year that could have been kept here by simply moving him up in the depth chart and Kelly let him walk to keep Nuss as the primary backup.

1 plus 2 equals 3 which is Kelly is not looking for a starter at QB out of the portal. Of course, that doesn;t mean he wouldn't ake one if the opportunity arose, just that he is not looking.

There will be a competition at the very least. There has to be.

Agree, look at that schedule next year at how tough it is and how long it will take for LSU’s defense to improve. 100% certain Kelly brings in a QB transfer, he likely has his pick of which one he wants. Nuss may still start game 1, but there will be stiff competition, and that transfer QB may end up starting for most of the season.

Just wow.

“Odds are…..”

Odds are you have no way of definitively knowing whether Garrett will be the starter or not next season right now.

“Do the freaking math”

What math?

All of this nonsensical babbling is you speculating. That’s all it is.

You go a step further and double down on this like it’s etched in stone, which it is not.

But that’s par for the course with you and your imaginary little world.

I think Nuss and a mobile qb could both play. If Salter from Liberty hits the portal, he’s a good dual threat. Castellanos from BC is more of a runner than passer, but he’s a legit dual.

Another one of your threads that got anchored. Maybe one day you'll learn. Probably not. But maybe.

Collins doesn't have it upstairs. It's either Nuss or a transfer. Nuss at least has some chemistry with the WRs. A transfer typically needs at least year in a system/program.

Yeah we’ve got to grab a big time quarterback from the transfer portal! Otherwise we are screwed.

That sums up a good chunk of his threads. He started two today that were both ridiculous and quickly got anchored. (One of them being this one)

Nuss' skills doesn't fit the bill of Denbrock's offense. Yeah, I know, he lit up UGA last year, in meaningless mop up duty, when the game was well in hand.

I personally think you’re wrong about that. You don’t give the coaching staff enough credit for what is happening now. Daniels wasn’t that great coming in. Nuss and JD5 have different talents. This staff is about player development and guys that want to be coached get better….some way better. The ones that don’t want to don’t see the field. Nuss will be a Heisman candidate as well.

Like I said last week, you aren’t winning anything in this era of football with a qb who is not mobile

Should I trust this take from you or not? Hmm, let me check your previous takes on our current QB.

I'm highly critical of JD but he is not a "bad QB". He is a great running QB, and a limited passing QB. He is a playmaker, but he does limit the offense.

He's a bad QB. He won't play QB in the NFL, unless a team wants him to backup their real dual threat. He should be catching balls instead of throwing them. He'd be a great LSU WR.

I'll just call you take on on our 3rd string QB BS based on those two from September of this year
