Can only speak as a runner in NOLA & OM, sidewalks often have vehicles parked with the front or back of the car blocking the sidewalk, sometimes with trailer hitch ball sticking out! The tree roots shift the sidewalks, bushes might extend into the sidewalk and low hanging trees force me to duck while I run/walk to not eat leaves and branches. The roads are a much clearer path but runners should know good routes.

I assume everyone is looking at their phone and I always move aside for vehicles.

Like everything, sometimes people are just assholes though.

Everyone talking about why the civil war was fought, with the implied American education answer being der the South fought for slavery. But what they are not saying is the "fight" was due to the American government invading the South.

Instead of asking why the War Between The States was fought, ask why the American government invaded the Southern states?
