Auburn and Miami are better than anything on UGA's schedule thus far.

No one is saying they’re no good
Just unproven

quote:2012 USCe had Jadeveon Clowney and Marcus Lattimore, 2 names bigger than anyone on the current UGA squad. They had been 11-2 the year before, and were on the way to another 11-2 year.
Comparing 2012 SCAR to 2018 UGA???????
They had played #5 UGA the week before and won 35-7. This was the same UGA that didn't lose again until they lost to Alabama 32-28, and finished 12-2.
South Carolina lost the following week to Fla, who also went 11-2.
*note- LSU went 10-3, A&M went 11-2, Bama went 13-1. SEC was a BEAST that year.
I'd say UGA 2018 is still riding on last year's resume, and not as proven as that SC team was. That was the year Spurrier was supposed to be bringing SC to the next tier. We beat them by 2.
This was back when it was "unacceptable" for LSU to go 10-3.

What a night. If Tiger Stadium this Saturday is close to that atmosphere, we have a shot.

Miles talked about it with Moscona a couple months ago. He said that was one of the most electric crowds when he was the coach.
That was the game he said the phrase, "Death Valley where opponents dreams truly come to die!"

If this is going to happen we need some better O Line play, Phillips back and Giles to foretit his snaps to Chase or TMJ.
Their running game is really good.

The atmosphere in Tiger Stadium against South Carolina in 2012 was special because there was tremendous anxiety in the air. We couldn't even score a touchdown in the Swamp the weekend before. Shades of 1/9/12. That same anxious electricity will be there if we hang with Georgia.

Wasn't that the game where Jemauria Rasco WWE powerslammed Connor Shaw into the ground?

I remember an older USCe fan being amazed by Dipping Dots. The fella could not get over it. Said he has never came across anything like it.
Dipping Dots.. very confusing.

That said, Carolina was the biggest overrated #3 team in history
Biggest overrated #3 is a big stretch. They were a really really good team
