As you've said many times, we are an offensive away from being a very dangerous team.

Yep, Im sure the offense will be better since Burrow is the man but im sure we will still batten down the hatch and g6i max protect,we will still have burrow under center for some reason, and we will still running deep and intermediate routes only while Burrow is taking his drop.

Ensminger outright said he wouldnt change anything. That lets me know right there that the offense isnt changing.

Well, this sounds less than ideal. Hopefully the young fella can bring up some new concepts that will change his mind.

this is a fact. Orgeron and Ensminger are lucky to be here. That inflated ranking and beating a UCF team without Milton is another lucky arse charade like 2017 having 6 coaches of the 12 they paid fired.

Here is the deal:
Come out third or lower in the west or 5th or lower in the SEC with losses to UF and TAMU again will put cross hairs on Orgeron’s head. fricking can’t beat TAMU or UF with first year coaches is ilunacceptable.
That quitting of Richt at Miami told everyone what kind of team that was and AU coming close to firing Gus was evidence orf the charade. Gus 30+MM buyout is what stopped that from happening.
fricking UT beat UGA your best win as well. Who is the coach there?

O told you he'd hire the best COs
O told you He'd let those COs coach and not meddle
O told you LSU had championship talent and the offense just needed tweaking

O no more than anyone else would be in the same spot. Always compared with the guy you replace and the other successful coaches in your program. Hate to use the phrase, but also compared with the perceived, “the ones that got away”. That is to bad, cause if they did not want to be in BR, why even include them in a discussion.
So what is the point ?

It's ok 10-3, 5-3 SEC > 10-3, 6-2 SEC and 2018 is greatest season since 2011.
Apologies for O are in order.

Eh... he thought he was getting Kiffin. It sounded bad, but it's prolly time to let this go.

Another one I think it may be time to let go. IMO he made up for it with a top 10 finish.

I think this is a very good point and it would be very difficult for anyone to argue that the 2019 Tigers are aren't the most talented since he's been here.

10-3, good year with a QB trained under Urban Meyer.

I would caveat that with the fact that Burrow had attempted 39 passes in 2 years at Ohio St and arrived at LSU over the summer and had to acclimate to a new team and offense without the benefit of an offseason.

By comparison Burrow had a better season than Mett did after transferring to LSU having had a season as a starter at JUCO (after transferring from UGA) and a full season sitting and following offseason prepping to start. Zach was also a high 4 star prospect to Burrow a low 4 star (.9426 to .9003). The point is Burrow performed well considering his obstacles and even better than Mett did his 1st year as a starter.

Is that all Meyer? IDK. I'm not a fan of SE the OC, but maybe he deserves some credit to go along with other reasonable criticism.

You mean a year where o didnt hire a single staff member, didnt choose the schemes, wasnt in charge of getting any recruits on campus?

Yeah, that year. The year he inherited Les Miles shite OC that went 2-2 to start the season averaging 339 yards total offense. The same year he fired that OC and replaced him with his OC, inserted Guice in the lineup and allowed Fournette to get healthy and promptly hung 634 yards on Missouri, 459 on Southern Miss, 516 on Ole Miss, 547 on Arkansas, 423 on Florida and 623 on Texas A&M. He didn't choose schemes and make long-term decisions? You want to give Miles credit for O firing Cameron?

I think he was the same coach that lost to unranked Maryland (again), unranked Oklahoma state and 20th ranked WVU.

Btw, why did you say "your" best win? Are you not an LSU fan as in "we"?

Except he proclaimed this in 2016 and changed his story.
More apologies required for Ed 's suddenly vastly inferior, sub-Troy talent inherited.
I don't think I've ever even used the term Opologist, but can see how some might.

He definitely gets himself "in trouble" in front of the microphone trying to sell his team to the public. I think that's just his way because he's a salesman and a damn good one.

Finishing top 5 in recruiting is pretty damn successful as well.

Finishing 4th in his conference and 5th overall isnt a success in any sense compared to the Miles era.

It's gonna be a long and miserable offseason, isn't it.
