O Will Always be Compared to Les, Saban, and Jimbo/Herman
O's record in his first 3 seasons at LSU is better than Les's last 3 seasons at LSU
O's record in his first 3 seasons at LSU is better than Saban's 1st 3 seasons at LSU
O's record in his first 3 seasons at LSU is better than Jimbo/Herman's records their last 3 seasons
Like it or not, those are simply facts too. And all the haters can go frick themselves saying O took over a better program. O took over a team that was 19-10 (10-8 in the SEC) in their last 19 games.

Now that sounds fun.

O hasn't been here for 3 seasons.

What exactly is there that needs to be apologized for again?

You would have to be much more specific. What were all of these amazing lies that only Coach O would dare speak to the public? We know that no other coach has ever stood at the podium and lied about anything.
Posted on 2/8/19 at 3:56 pm to AlwysATgr
Lmao. Not favorable? He just finished ahead of both of them with a final #6 ranking. If you want to give Fisher credit for the fkn the sec refs gave lsu, so be it. Actually comical you stating he isn't currently stacking up to Fisher and Herman. Seriously.
Posted on 2/8/19 at 3:59 pm to Mayhawman
Kinda like miles lying about changing the offense going into 2016? He gave us all a big Fu in Wisconsin.
Posted on 2/8/19 at 4:01 pm to lsu2006
Correct. He has won almost as many conference games in 2 years as won his last 3.2 years.

How dare you. You done done it now.

No shite. Would you feel better if I said that O's 25-9 record in his first 34 games at LSU was better than Les's 23-11 record in his last 34 games at LSU?

Sure man.
Though I would argue O has only coached 26 games, but what's the use?

That's pretty funny stuff. Person argues 3 years, next person says it wasn't 3 years and first person responds by saying "no shite." I love this place.

I hate this threads and here I am contributing.
Here's my take: We will know a lot in a year from now. 2018 was a very successful year for us. We finished 10-3, ranked #6 in the country with a big time bowl win despite losing our two starting corners. We can downplay the win because UCF was a pretender, but then again, had we beaten Texas, Iowa, Penn State (the only other options and all of whom were ranked below UCF) the negative people would dismiss them similarly. I can hear you now, "oh big deal, we beat a 5 loss Texas team. Whah!"
O has this team primed for a really big season in 2019. It is 100% true that he gets no benefit of the doubt by the press. So we won't start the season top 5. We may be ranked as low as 10. We'll probably be ranked below Texas even though they are losing eight starters on defense, their big play WR and three starters on their offensive line. O is going to push their shite in on September 7th in Austin. This team could very well run the table or go 11-1. Bama is always going to be a challenge. But we get Florida, Auburn and Aggie (our three hardest games outside of Bama) at home. 11-1 should make the playoffs or at least be the last one left out.
Conversely, if O loses to Texas and Vandy early, then the negas can have their pitchforks out with good reason.
But I don't see that happening.
I will say this, it is high time that this fanbase stop being so damn negative about the team and about O. I have not been more excited about the Tigers going into 2019 in eight years. What is wrong with y'all? Enjoy the process of building up to a championship caliber football team. It's closer then you think!

None of those teams you mentioned gave up 445 yards and 34 points in a half against temple.

That we fired the last coach for losing 3 games a year and having a shite offense.
That perfectly explains 2018.
If this had been a season where the top 3 loss team got ranked 14th like we did in 2012 would you think differently about this team?
Miles was on the hot seat after losing 8 games in 2014 and 2015 and having a vastly more productive offense than what O has had . O has lost 7 games in 2 years and had a horrid offense.

He is coaching in a vastly inferior sec. We have 2 wins against sec teams with more than 8 wins. Only 3 wins against teams with more than 7 wins.

You mean a year where o didnt hire a single staff member, didnt choose the schemes, wasnt in charge of getting any recruits on campus?
Being an interim coach isnt running a program. Youre not allowed to make long term decisions.

If Joe Brady doesn't work out and the offensive struggles continue, then Orgeron could be in real trouble. Conversely, if he gets the passing game going then look out. As you've said many times, we are an offensive away from being a very dangerous team.
