re: Nussmeier's Arm Strength forces defenses to defend the entire field.

Also, what everyone is forgetting about Nuss is his Leadership in the 2nd half.
The kid was constantly lining up players and telling them where to go when they looked lost . He knew where every receiver was supposed to be on the play before the snap. If you don't know how important that is to a coach, then you are clueless.

Maybe take Nuss's boudin out of your mouth for a few minutes and stop starting shitty threads.

who is more likely to improve? daniels or nuss?
They both can improve. The only difference is you know if Daniels improves on his weaknesses, you are talking about a championship contending QB
Brether, listen to me when I tell you this. Teams that are riding with 4th & 5th year QBs that have shown upside like Daniels have enjoyed tremendous fruitfulness recently

Hey thanks, Sweet Prince. Your analysis has changed everything for me...

Eh, I’m not so sure about that. I think it’s more related to the OLine being VERY young and needed time to develop and gel as a unit. JD gave you more escape-ability when things broke down up front.
I do think JD may fall to the back of the room next season if he doesn’t make significant strides throwing the football. By all accounts, Howard is the real deal and Nuss has showcased his arm already.
Let’s all keep in mind that these are GOOD problems to have!

Daniels should consider moving to DB.

One thing to remember is when you are in come back mode being down big you are prone to take more risks. Closer game you don't take those risks.
Obviously there are many on here that dont realize that...
At one point earlier in the season Kelly was imploring JD to take more risk and it was ok to throw a pic. This was at the Tenn game timeline.

Do you know Daniels is improving on intermediate and deep throws, reading defenses and throwing with anticipation?
Since the Ole Miss game vs SEC opponents JD has thrown for:
182 yds on 32 attempts vs Bama
86 yds on 15 attempts vs Ark
189 yds on 35 attempts vs A&M
208 yds on 24 attempts vs UGA
Thats a YPA of 6.3. That doesn't indicate an offense that's stretching the field or getting YAC.

He’s been there for 2 fricking years, I’m not giving him credit for knowing where his receivers are supposed to be.

Get your brown nose out of JD'S arse and maybe you'll see there are better options at QB.

You can correct me if I'm wrong, but Nuss got hurt in fall practice and missed some opportunities in competition. Whether they were right or not there were some reports that Nuss was looking better than anyone in the competition up to that point. Boutte was one that praised Nuss as well. Towards the end of fall Daniels started to improve and reports were he was getting much better with his accuracy giving coaches confidence he could handle the job.
That's my recollection from reading media reports and on tRant.

It's not his arm strength; it's his willingness (over willingness) to throw it downfield. Daniels can get it there. He just doesn't.

This. There were a couple games where Daniels was the apparent problem. There were some games where the receivers REFUSED to catch a damned thing.

So, do you not excuse JD for not being good at pre and post snap reads, not throwing on time and not having good, quick processing skills? I don’t condemn JD for those weaknesses but I will point them out as areas of improvement.
