I wonder if this issue contributed to his reticence to run last year? Throwing off his back foot instead of stepping forward?

I've had patella tendinitis. It sucks. Gotta mash on it and get on anti inflammatory meds. Not a serious injury, but certainly limiting when it flairs up.

The backup QB will get serious play time as just strengthening a muscle is not going to cure this. He is likely to lose or restrict the mobility that we hoped would put him in the elite group this year. It’s a shame as Nuss was going to break a lot of records and help win a couple of definitive and critical games.

Did they amputate his leg yet?

That was the funniest things I've heard CBK say...

I also have knee tendinitis. Just didn’t realize there was a word for it outside of being an old 30 year old. Nuss will be fine

Somebody was telling me about this stuff called TB-500 the other day. Not sure if it's allowed but it sounded interesting.

Nevermind. It's banned.

LOL, is there anyone who panics more than you? At the first sign of trouble you abandon LSU’s baseball or football teams. Patella tendonitis doesn’t qualify as a “blown out” patella.

“Injury” is a reach, seems like an overworked tendon that needs rest. But strange condition for a pocket QB to have, I guess it’s due to weight shift/load bearing on his back foot’s knee during his plant step

If it is on his right/plant foot knee, that’s likely going to be an issue as long as he plays football unless he completely overhauls his footwork

That whole prognosis does not look encouraging to be honest. It’s progressive (i,e, it will only get worse) and the only treatment is rest (stop practicing/ working out).

Which he just had the longest period of rest that he’ll have for the next year. And it’s already aggravated after 3 practices?

Bc it’s not a football injury. It occurs from running, jumping etc. all things he has done in offseason to be an athlete. I promise there are a ton of athletes who have some sort of tendonitis to some degree.
While it is an aggravating pain, the most painful part is if you get bumped or hit on the spot. That can be excruciating if very inflamed.
