Disappointed it took as many comments as it did to find this one. Figured it would have been in the top 1 comments.

So it's a double whammy. CBK now has a legitimate excuse for the inevitable first game loss. Does anyone really think that Miss St backup can beat Clemson when his own team didn't win a game last year?

He’s had it since 2023 and you’re just now finding out so I would say it’s fairly insignificant

Nuss had knee surgery at the end of 2023 season. Whenever he reaggravates it…he ends up with Tendinitis.

I’m sure he played with it last season.

Correct. He’ll be fine. Dude has worked hard this offseason and chunked a lot of footballs. He likely just needs a good 2-4 days of rest. He dealt with this last year. When I say I rest I mean a couple days of just not practicing.

It certainly isn't nothing like some media members said. He's at risk for reinjury or further injury and will probably have limited mobility and possibly less velocity on his throws if he can't drive off or into his bad leg. They need to shut him down for a week or two for therapy and hope it heals quick.

I have no idea why all the sunshine pumpers downvoted you. We all want nuss to excel. But according to the facts and the truth, your statement is exactly right. Right now he is our best shot. But this does suck. And Brian Kelly is lying to the fan base about how severe this situation is or can become.

That is my opinion. It may be wrong but that is what I would do. So stop crying and bother someone else

You’re crying when people call you out for saying you wouldn’t let the starting qb take a rep until he’s on the road on opening night.

Sorry people will call you out for posting shite like that my brother.

Sounds a lot like shin splints. Wonder what’s the difference pain-wise.

I haven't had shin splints but I have patellar tendonitis as well as the bone ossicles that are where the tendon connects to the lower bone. Sounds like he may have had ossicles surgically removed in 2023. If he takes a helmet to the knee, he could be out the rest of the game, but most flare ups will go away after 2 days of rest, ibuprofen, and ice. It should easily be manageable for him.

I developed that shite after an ankle surgery.

Jumped back into the gym too quickly and didn’t have full ankle mobility and I put too much stress on the patella.

I eventually got rid of it using LED therapy (red and near IR) and never stopped the gym routine.

I just added two 10 minute sessions: AM and PM.

The fact BK said that it’s not an ACL means they thought it might be which explains their complete blackout and silence over the situation for a few days. BK knows he’s cooked if Nuss goes down.

I think he said that because that was the rumor that everyone originally ran with...

That’s definitely not insignificant. He’s at a high risk to rupture it which is basically a career ending injury for most people. Will also effect strength and depending on which leg if it’s his right leg could hamper him big time trying to drive the ball. Depending on severity can take months to heal. Ask me how I know haha.. I’ve had it and it frickin sucks.
Correct.

In before all the "He'll be Fine" Pumptards start chiming in with their BS.

He's one bad TWEAK from being out for a long time.

Playing behind Sylvester's Offensive Line is now an even scarier situation than it was before the "He'll be Fine" Pumptards spewed their Pablum.

Another scary thought. There's no other QB on the roster that's WAF!

He stated it was following Osgood-Schlatter surgery. I had that as a kid when I grew like 10 inches in 4 or 5 months. It leads to small or possibly large tears in the patella tendon and thus pain because bone grows faster than muscle.

It sucked for a while and thankfully I didn't need surgery, but from time to time after a while, my knee would be sore. Either from overuse or something bumping the tendon. Went away in a few days.

It's why some guys get little bumps right below the knee on the tibia (shin).

He will be fine.
