Wasn’t Jordan Travis injured on a slide last year against an FCS opponent?

I’m fine with him taking some free yards on occasion like he did vs Nichols. But don’t pretend it isn’t still a risk, and we don’t have backups who are going to win most SEC games. We had that luxury last season.

Explain how the horse collar was insignificant and didn’t complete change the trajectory of where that pass would have gone

Grasping at fricking straws.

If we could just find a running game it would make a huge difference. It would take this team to the next level.

Oh we all know what you meant.

The debate was settled in 2022. Let it go. Stop trying to compare him to JD or 2022/2023.

This is a little misleading. He is that high up in stats because our run game is poor. Fortunately he has been able to make that up. I am a big Nuss fan and hope he wins a Heisman. But his ypa is mediocre at about 7.5.

That’s even more impressive when the defense knows you can’t run.

Most QB injuries happen in the pocket.

And no one is asking him to run like Daniels or Travis.

Defenses are crashing on the RB on read option plays. They don’t even pay attention to Nuss. Atleast twice last game Nuss would have had decent gains if he had pulled it, but he handed it off and the RB got stuffed due to the read end crashing on the RB.

It’s not that big of a deal, but it’s something that would help the offense, especially in short yardage.

I just will never agree with not doing something to avoid injury.

It’s football.

Offense isn’t to the level of last year but the same basic narrative as last year. Defense is a huge liability.

Thats the funniest joke I have heard in awhile. He has been coaching years and has never had a QB as good as Nuss. His development has been slowed if anything by BK.

I don't get the criticism, he's been absolutely lights out for a first year starter. Yea, we don't convert turnovers into points but its alot to do with our inability to run on short yardage and in the red zone. We are very predictable situationaly.

defense got two turnovers, and the offense mustered 6pts off of them.

This is the dumbest shite I’ve read in quite some time. It’s much more difficult to pass when the running game is lacking.

If you could play at least 2D chess you would realize that if we had better running game he would likely throw less. However I will concede and even stated that if the run game were better his YPA would likely go up.

My point was not to poo poo Nuss because i am a huge fan of his since he committed to LSU but to point out he is at the top of the list because we are a one dimensional offense. Not his fault but certainly to his credit.

I agree with you....nuss needs to step it up and throw for 500 a game and 85% completions. That 310 per game with 71% completion rate isn't going to cut it.

Didn’t say he needed to do more, I said the offense— and he— needed to be more consistent in playing complementary football. But, alas this is the Rant, so interpret it how you will.

Without Nuss, we would struggle to win 4 games.
