Keep an eye on the tattoo parlors in Eugene!

He could always go the other way and start to make his own money.

Yeah, I was joking about the TP situation...

I was talking about doing something like RP and counterfeit money.

His license is revoked for an unpaid MIP in high school, DWS and no insurance. He has a pattern of not paying...this one is probably goes unpaid until draft day.

So if he doesn't pay a fine..shouldn't they issue a warrant for his arrest?
Posted on 6/13/11 at 3:48 pm to CajunFootball
Apparently, they suspend your license. It probably ends up as a judgement. I don't know what happens in LA but warrents are usually when you don't show up for court for a serious crime. Not unpaid tickets.

I'd bet my house that Les has bigger nuts than Chip does. I bet Harris plays, if it was Lsu, he'd be looking for a new school.
you'd be looking for a new house.
Les Miles only kicks scrubs off the team after 1 or 2 altercations. If you are important you basically can do anything you want within reason

That wouldn't be a bad thing...
But smaller than Chip's?

I'm sorry -- if I were to do something in my profession that caused negative media attention to my employer, I would most likely be fired. At the very least, I will be put through all kind of probationary hell. A student-athlete is basically an employee.
As for "speeding is hardly a crime" -- agreed, in the grand scheme of things, it isn't murder, right? But, keep in mind:
1/3 all traffic fatalities related to excessive speed
To just say, "hey, who cares if he was speeding." seems very narrow minded. Scholarship athletes should be held to both the same legal standard as us "normal folk" as well has a higher ethical and/or public standard on account of their position/relationship with the university.
Now, if they guy was racing to see his dying grand-ma -- give him a pass. But, if he was just out having fun in his used-but-new-to-him black 350Z -- yeah, I say he's going to have to sit a game or two. It all depends on why he was driving that fast. If he's out just having fun -- that is much larger indicator of a bigger problem that should be put in check.
And, for the record -- yes, I am guilty of speeding. And, I have been arrested in Oppolosers (yeah, in my opinion, I spelled it right) for driving 18 miles over the speed limit, and I had a perfectly valid drivers license, and all valid car registration and insurance.
The dude should have been arrested for going that fast.

Chip is having a press anouncement this afternoon. So, something is happening. My guess is he won't start the LSU game. However, he may just get a suspension.

It's illegal to drive with a suspended license. He broke the law. Just being devils advocate
It's also illegal to drive 61 in a 60, and to jaywalk - both of these things I have done today.
I break the law almost everyday crossing the street from the parking garage to the office building.
It's no big deal.

Going 118 in a 65 is not petty. Having an MIP, DWS, and no insurance in the last two years and not paying is a pattern. The kid needs a lesson.

Isn't 30mph over the speed limit a felony?
Posted on 6/13/11 at 4:04 pm to Michael J
So, going 85 in a 55 would be felony? C'mon.

I am asking, I know I have heard this before but never knew if it was true. I will tell you this, I have no doubt if this had been joe six pack driving over a 100mph especially with a suspended license he would have went straight to jail.
